“The Jimmy Dore Show,”

Jimmy is to the left of Bernie Sanders and focuses most of his ire on the Democrats. He is what is needed to hold their feet to the fire.

His comic bits, especially phone calls with a Biden impressionist, are gold.

Nobody wants to pay to get lied to.

Honest and fair minded people have abandoned corrupt and dishonest CNN. Former president Trump must be grinning from ear to ear.

The CNN+ project did not address polling that shows less than half of Americans trust U.S. legacy media, including CNN.

Imagine that.

American media is a failure. Any American only getting their news from only American media, is living in an information deficient bubble. America has no non-biased news. Those who criticize CNN are usually the same losers who only watch Fox, and they somehow think they're better. What a joke.

If you are going to offer this kind of streaming package, you need to have a significant value add or at least very compelling personalities. Especially in the news realm, because there are so many free/donation supported alternatives on both sides of the spectrum. I only pay for one news source (The International magazine) and that is more because I support their message more than anything else.

@dagon

He has been a great voice from the left to try to hold conservative Democrats accountable, his trajectory from being on TYT to doing his own thing has been great to watch.

American media is a failure.

No, and that depends, on the liberal side it has been an utter failure and many of us predicted that the lies of CNN and many in the msm would slowly come to an end and CNN+ was one example, Rachel Maddow was removed to the weekends, shuffling at the network and the same with CNN. People are tired of hearing about Jan. 6th 24/7, Covid, conservatives are bad and so on, it is just a bowl of misery group of pundits that go to work every day and just want to fight, call names but bring no solutions to the problems of the nation and that is why these networks are hemorrhaging and that is why CNN+ crashed before it could take off. They can hear all the vile negativity on that network for free, why pay for it?

Any American only getting their news from only American media, is living in an information deficient bubble.

Well, no because just like the rest of the world, we can search the internet and there are many news sites to choose from just like anywhere else.

America has no non-biased news.

Neither do a lot of news sources in Europe as well. Germany, Sweden, take your pick.

Those who criticize CNN are usually the same losers who only watch Fox, and they somehow think they're better. What a joke.

No, you have a big difference in that you have a lot of liberals at FOX, a lot, too many for my taste, but they do hash it out and that is good. CNN and msnbc just never had that and that is one reason why FOX continues to dominate because you hear various points of view from people whether they be conservative, liberal, libertarian, Republican, Democrat, or independent.

In fact, a 2022 study found that Americans had more faith in the Weather Channel and BBC than the cable news networks.

Ouch!

American media is a victim of their own bias and previous success, they became a brand related to their many mistakes and refuse to modernize and let go of the past because their whole business model depends on them being same as always. Too bad that the new options can be as bad.

Was offered -- and out of curiosity -- tried a free one-week trial subscription of CNN-. The programming offered was not even close to being groundbreaking. Want to see where to go on vacation? Watch The Travel Channel. Want to learn about new cuisines? Watch The Food Channel. CNN- provided absolutely nothing that wanted make me pay for that service. it was doomed to fail..

But following the inauguration of President Joe Biden, ratings for cable news plummeted, with Fox News Channel, MSNBC and CNN losing 49%, 37% and 35% of their audience, respectively

There might be some good news here: Faux News lost 49% of their audience! Maybe they went back to try and finish grade school.

Fake news!

NC averaged the largest total day and primetime audience on cable last quarter, with nearly 1.61 million viewers in total day and 2.55 million viewers in prime time. The network also averaged 429,000 adults 25-54 in primetime and 283,000 adults 25-54 in total day, No. 2 on basic cable (behind ESPN), according to live plus same day data from Nielsen for Q1 2022.

Fox News gained viewers from the prior quarter (Q4 ’21), up +8% in average total primetime viewers, +17% in the primetime demo, +12% in total day viewers, and +19% in the total day demo.

So 25-54 that's around the time young people come to their senses and put their Docs away and decide there are more colors they can choose from to enlighten their wardrobe besides black, that's also the time wisdom creeps in.

Maybe they went back to try and finish grade school.

They did, and that's why helped to boost these ratings. I'm sure they can give an answer to what a woman is.
