The results were published very late as they needed tampering . China’s population declined in 2020. But Xi does not like that so he had the numbers changed.

I hope China doesn't try to remedy this 'problem' by getting people to produce more babies. That's the last thing this world needs. Otherwise, further down the road, China will have even more of the same problems which prompted the one-child policy. It may hurt in the short term, but it will be even worse in the long term if you increase the population again. Quality of life and a smaller burden on the environment must be a priority.

I see India and other countries as having even more serious problems - there is no attempt to encourage lower birth rates. The population density and the number of people living in poverty is going to continue to shoot up.
