Momentum and the rest of Corbyn's accolytes are anti-semetic or enable and pander to those who are. There is also a deep seam of mysogyny running through the Party too.

Disgraceful rubbish from Blairite hack John Lloyd. Corbyn, who nearly beat May's Tories in that shock election last year owing to a surge in new members who support his policies, has been on the receiving end of a massive smear campaign orchestrated by the Tory media, pro-Israel groups and the discredited Blairite Rump of his own party.

The Labour Party has no more anti-semitism than any other political party in the UK. That's not my opinion, it's the opinion of the Home Affairs Committee, an all-party parliamentary group, in their report last year:

https://publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm201617/cmselect/cmhaff/136/136.pdf

The so-called anti-semitism in the Labour Party came from Jewish members or members with Jewish ancestry who were critical of Israel's treatment of the Palestinians.

"Though it is rarely mentioned, a significant proportion of those who were summarily suspended, or expelled, for anti-semitism by a Labour party bureaucracy still dominated by anti-Corbyn Blairites were Jewish or had Jewish ancestry, such as Jackie Walker, Tony Greenstein, Cyril Chilson and Glyn Secker. The thread connecting these high-profile cases was that all of them were vocal critics of Israel."

So British Jews, or any Jewish people people critical of Israel are anti-semites. That's the world we live in now.

I don't know very much about this Corbyn guy, but I'm always sceptical when someone gets publicly shamed as an anti-semite. Sounds like he supports Palestine which is enough these days to get this label.

Now, about this John Lloyd guy. Why anyone would listen to him, let alone give him world coverage as a voice of honesty escapes me. Hmmmmm. He was a former communist, turns to labor, then supports the lies of the 2003 Iraq war(yes, some of us knew it was a lie all along) and the hegemon Libya war. Just who's interests is he supporting? Britains or Zionist Israels? It's very clear to me.

He wouldn't get close now. Labour voters who voted Remain are furious, Labour voting Jews are furious, Labour voting women are furious and solid red constituencies, most of whom are reaping the catastrophic efects of austerity, are furious of his feeble Opposition. Have you seen his latest wheeze? BBC staff should be forced to reveal their 'class'. Coming from a man that was privately educated and whose closest advisers went to public schools and Oxbridge, he is just taking the piss now.

Labour, Corbyn and his Momentum cult have no interest in Government, they are just interested in running the Labour Party. They want the Tories to get in again so they can get blamed for the disasterous Brexit, even though they support it.

I agree, it's almost a default attack to call someone an "anti-semite" instead of debating the issue. Lot of people got massacred and entire populations have been decimated (native americans, european colonial atrocities, US aggression in Vietnam, Korea, Japanese WW2 crimes, islamic brutalities, isreali crimes and so on) but it seems like Jews do get the privilege (perhaps because they are white or they are just too powerful behind the scenes). It is time to tone it down and be objective before calling someone some thing. It feels like there is no real freedom in the first or second world now a days to debate anything. I blame people for consuming all sorts of nonsense from these 24 hour networks. Get rid of that stupid tv.

The so-called anti-semitism in the Labour Party came from Jewish members or members with Jewish ancestry who were critical of Israel's treatment of the Palestinians.

Jeremy Corbyn wrote earlier this month that, "I do acknowledge there is a real problem [with anti-semitism] that Labour is working to overcome. "

But you are disagreeing with the leader - the only anti-semitism is spread by Jews themselves. A number as, as discovered by the anti-Semite Jonathan Cook, were of Jewish descent, but you seem to lay all the blame at the feet of the Jews.

Hmmm.

@Alfie Noakes

I particularly liked this quotation of Corbyn:

The Labour leader said: '[British Zionists] clearly have two problems. One is they don't want to study history, and secondly, having lived in this country for a very long time, probably all their lives, they don't understand English irony either.'

Now I get the difference between a Jew and a Zionist, but this statement was very revealing. Essentially, the Jewish Zionists, despite being British, are not really British at all. They have simply lived here all thier lives, and been born here and have a British passport, but they do not really get British culture. Had he just stated that they do not get the irony of something (presumably depriving the Palestinians of a home), fine, but the statement about them having lived here all their lives reveals a lot. They may be here, but culturally they are part of something else and do get English irony. Perhaps they only get Jewish irony?
