Sadly we have to accept that Russia and China are seeking for nationalistic reasons (now rather than ideological reasons of the past) to undermine the liberal democracies who can oppose their aggressive expansion of power, influence and lebensraum.

The solutions are not easy nor simple if we are to maintain the very liberal and democratic societies we wish to live in. However a grater awareness of the problem among the population at large and the "outing" of the perpetrators can only help.

Of course the squeeky clean West has never engaged in any such activities has it ?

A nihilistic, narrow and cynical reaction to anyone seeking to raise awareness is either knowingly seeking to support the anti-democratic forces or deeply ignorant.
