Global leaders will not engage with Trump. They know he will be gone soon, so they will just wait him out, and there is nothing he can do about it.

"Global leaders will not engage with Trump"

Lessee... new trade deals negotiated with the EU, Mexico and Canada... Kim Jong Un meeting with Trump, not testing any missiles for a year now...

Every country must not look to America any more, it is more than 70 years after world war ii...............We, the people need peace and safety to work, not following one white leader. The world should have peace and no one should think that they can be king or there is still salvery going on.Think abt our future and the future of our children.

"We, the people need peace and safety to work, not following one white leader."

How about a black leader? Or an Asian leader? Or a Latino leader?

Don't think Trump's nationalistic approach is the only issue here tbh. Rightly or wrongly, ppl like Merkel and Macron still value education and erudition and expect their interlocutors (at this level) to be 'reasonably' cultured and smart.

Having to deal with a bogan like Trump is just too much/painful for them.

It’s not just the US that’s divided, the modern world seems to be dividing as well. Looks like the biggest issue outside the US is the refugees coming in from Africa and the war torn Middle East. People are not paying much attention it seems to the dominance of the central banking cartels and the destruction they are paving for the future.

Trump sat largely stony-faced through Macron’s speech that lambasted “nationalism” in a remarkably naked assault on the U.S. president and his worldview.

You're omitting the gaffe that will be forever clued to Macron, which will quite possibly have him thrown out of office in the next French election.

Macron, in an interview with Europe 1, had called for the EU to create its own army, “to protect us against China, Russia and even the United States of America,” citing Trump’s intention to withdraw from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty.

Notwithstanding the fact that the EU does not have the full resources and the will to create its own army, he unconscionably forgets the sacrifice of American GI's to free his country - twice, without which frogs would sprechen Deutsch.

He should choose his word a lot better, give a little deference to the President duly elected by the American people whatever the President's views are, and issue a sincere apology to the American people.

It is my opinion that how can leader be called leader if they themselves , do not know what they want for their country and their people by creating good issues in their countries first, save their own people & children for the next 5 years by their own means. Like using their own resources in their countries and not demand from other countries to make them rich. In Japan that way, is a form of iijime.Example, Just by demanding that the rest of the world follow America................to make America great again is definitely saying America is not great now. As we are BIG, u slaves do something for us, Americans. That is not very leadership or fair
