The United States has an $800 Billion Dollar Yearly Trade Deficit because of our “very stupid” trade deals and policies. Our jobs and wealth are being given to other countries that have taken advantage of us for years. They laugh at what fools our leaders have been. No more! Donald Trump

You people have been brainwashed by Trump into thinking that a trade deficit is a bad thing. Having the word 'deficit' in there catches those who can't be bothered to research what it actually means. There is no link between a trade deficit and a lack of jobs, or a poor economy. Don't believe me? Well the US has the largest economy in the world even with a trade deficit!
The US is not being taken advantage of.
We laugh at who your leader is.
The laughing started with Trump.

Owning a chain of 10 dinner house full service restaurants and a bakery, having imported vegetables, fruit, coffee beans, and processed food and other items from Australia, New Zealand and the U. S. for myself and others, I know what I am talking about.
Also having served as ACCO Commettee Chairman for the Asia Pacific Council of American Chambers of Commerce, I know what I am talking about.
Unfortunately for some . . . They do not know what they are talking about when it comes to free trade and what is not truly free trade.

Ray: And you have a trade deficit with your suppliers of vegetables, fruits and coffee beans. You only think you know what you’re talking about.
Please explain how US tariffs on imports are any different than other country tariffs on imports - fruits, vegetables, cars, steel, cheese, etc.
The US has a trade deficit because it buys more than it sells overseas.
It’s amazing to think that there are adults who think Americans are starving to work in low-paying, dirty factories making cheap plastic crap.

The writer is dead wrong. The United States must defend itself against the grievously unfair trade practices of Japan and China. While Japan is America's ally it is still true that Japan has taken advantage of the relationship with the United States.
China is a serious violator of fair trade and has been called down by the United Nations for human rights abuses. China engages in "dumping" of products which have been made by citizens working for immorally low wages. China then dumps these finished products and raw materials on America. This is a grievously asymmetrical relationship that is unsustainable.
The American Government is doing exactly the right thing is defending itself from unfair trading nations.
