Write down John Lloyd's name in the long list of Europeans still smarting over the public spanking President Trump delivered to Europe last week.

He forgot to mention deadbeat NATO members are now falling over themselves in pledging their fair share of NATO funding while Russia is proving a useful ally in containing Iran.

So sad when a bleeding heart gets his worldview shattered.

Trump has never done a deal in his life. Everything about him is fake.

Our relationship with Iran was improving before Trump. The deal Trump reneged on forced Iran to ally with Russia and China. And now Trump sends angry all-caps tweets at Iran while bending over to Russia.

He has absolutely no clue what he's doing and should go back to playing a successful businessman on TV.

well that settles that....

well that settles that....

Certainly does, chief.

And now the Ivanka pretend 'business' has evaporated into a toxic cloud, removing one source of conflict between government activity and private enrichment but also highlighting once again the true worth of the family's alleged dealmaking skills.

actually chief, if you had done even the most perfunctory research, you would have seen that she shut down her business to pursue a career in public policy more than a year after leaving the company.

But continue to ignore the single most successful Presidency in modern history as you wish. But it'll get pretty hard for you with the President Trump's popularity at an all time high, record low unemployment, peace on the Korean peninsula, European deadbeat "partners" brought to heel, and 2020 just around the corner!

Sun rising in the West again, clearly.

Trump is too lazy to do his homework, to take the time to read his briefings and to form any kind of coherent strategy: he prefers to goof off on the golf course. As a result he embarrasses himself and the US when he meets other leaders, fawning over dictators and despots, whilst ranting abuse at democratically elected allies.

She shut down her business because no one was buying her crap. And "leaving" a company in the hands of family and close associates while you go play politics doesn't remove conflict of interest in any real-world sense. Or do you think their businesses escaped Trump's sweeping tariffs by coincidence?

But it'll get pretty hard for you with the President Trump's popularity at an all time high

High for Trump, LOWEST OF ANY MODERN PRESIDENT.

record low unemployment

Only continuing the steady decline that started under Obama.

peace on the Korean peninsula

Outwardly maybe, but it seems like just a show.

European deadbeat "partners" brought to heel

Bringing allies to heel, bending over and taking it for authoritarian regimes.

2020 just around the corner!

If Republicans have any shred of integrity left, they'll put up an alternative candidate. Otherwise, good luck with your least popular modern president.

High for Trump, LOWEST OF ANY MODERN PRESIDENT.

True, but at the time of his election he was at 37% approval rating and now he's at around 45-47% not great, but for a President that is unpopular with the left, his numbers haven't been going down, good sign.

Only continuing the steady decline that started under Obama.

Liberals tend to believe that, talk to some of the most knowledgeable economists, they would laugh people out of the room hearing that. Nothing in the private sector, sluggish economy under 2% GDP, investments at an all time low, stock market slummed and the admin was perfectly content with it.

Outwardly maybe, but it seems like just a show.

Anything happen yet? Is Kim on a tirade? I agree, dealing with NK you can never take your eye off the ball, but what have the left done when it comes to NK? I mean, besides appeasement and capitulation?

Bringing allies to heel, bending over and taking it for authoritarian regimes.

They expect the US to take care of them, to lead if there is any military attack, but some of these countries don't want to pay and reach their goal of 2%, if they don't want to, we can leave, good luck dealing with Vlad.

If Republicans have any shred of integrity left, they'll put up an alternative candidate.

Why?

Otherwise, good luck with your least popular modern president.

So besides the looney out of the closet socialists, who do the Democrats have besides old white people?

True, but at the time of his election he was at 37% approval rating and now he's at around 45-47%

Not true according to the average of the polls. He wasn’t at 37%, he was at 43%. The average of the polls has him at the same 43% now.

Mixing and matching numbers from different polls to try to prove a point isn’t very honest.

My bad!

Opps, I made a mistake about his reelection popularity second term approval ratings.

"Trump has never done a deal in his life."

Would you say that again!

0 ( +1 / -1 )

True, but at the time of his election he was at 37% approval rating and now he's at around 45-47% not great, but for a President that is unpopular with the left, his numbers haven't been going down, good sign.

Actually, his numbers have been pretty steady at the lowest in modern history.

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/

Nothing in the private sector, sluggish economy under 2% GDP, investments at an all time low, stock market slummed and the admin was perfectly content with it.

Mining and logging are the biggest contributors to Trump's job numbers. That and his stock/investment boosts can be attributed to the gutting of regulations and corporate responsibilities that used to prevent us from becoming environmental/industrial paradises like China.

I agree, dealing with NK you can never take your eye off the ball, but what have the left done when it comes to NK?

I agree, the left and right haven't done much in the past. Just saying it's too soon to say if Trump has actually done anything either.

They expect the US to take care of them, to lead if there is any military attack, but some of these countries don't want to pay and reach their goal of 2%, if they don't want to, we can leave, good luck dealing with Vlad.

Is it impossible to ask for more from our allies without kissing Putin's ass?

Why?

Because he lies constantly, throws our own intelligence under the bus, bends over for authoritarian leaders, was a known con man who probably laundered money, commands zero respect from world leaders, defends child-molesters and wide-beaters, attacks the media for calling out his lies (rather than for their actual flaws), tweets like a fourteen year old, do I need to go on?

So besides the looney out of the closet socialists, who do the Democrats have besides old white people?

Those looney closet socialists are actually democratic socialists. One of them is an old white man (nothing wrong with them) that happens to be the MOST popular politician in the country. If he decides not to run, we still have more options than the right. The GOP will probably lose anyway, but they might as well lose with some semblance of integrity by opposing Trump.

@Bass

Interesting article. Particularly the percentage who don’t think Trump deserves to be re-elected.

Thanks for that.

But continue to ignore the single most successful Presidency in modern history as you wish. But it'll get pretty hard for you with the President Trump's popularity at an all time high,

I really needed something to laugh at. Thanks for supplying the above statement!

But it'll get pretty hard for you with the President Trump's popularity at an all time high

According to the average of the polls, that’s fake news. He had a jump just after his inauguration and has always been south of that with a few bobs up and down in the toilet bowl.

By his own lavatorial standards, he’s not doing too bad. He’s been lower.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Interesting article. Particularly the percentage who don’t think Trump deserves to be re-elected.

Wow, 59%. That means that pretty much 6/10 Americans don't want to see him be president again.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Polls, schmolls! Trump is toast and even before the midterms he'll have more forks sticking in him than Julius Caesar had knives. His "accomplishments" are no more real than the Emperor's New Clothes, or his bloated estimate of the inauguration crowd which, as it has turned out, did not augur well for his future credibility, a respectable word whose meaning Trump has trashed, thereby further devaluing and discrediting the shaky bona fides of his fake family fief (thief?)dom. This narcissistic numpty will indeed achieve his insatiably coveted No 1 status by going down in history as America's greatest national embarrassment, a faker from his orange tan and ferret combover to his "stable genius"shtick and "best words", head-spinning porkies endlessly erupting from his pathological need for the adulation of others that can never be satisfied, except perhaps by his puny playmate, Putin the Terrible who is clearly playing him for a sucker. The Russians are not fooled either by the phony POTUS saying with a chuckle: "Trump has 7 Fridays in a week".

Interesting article. Particularly the percentage who don’t think Trump deserves to be re-elected.

Thanks for that

No, problem, I was focused on the percentage of people that do want him re-elected, especially given the fact the left has really no one. And 41% isn’t bad at all not to mention it’s his second year, so that should tick up slowly as well but back to the Dems...Or are they thinking about dragging Hillary again or Biden? Lol

Anyway, you’re not American. So you are free and you should be happy this doesn’t involve you

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

I was focused on the percentage of people that do want him re-elected

Only 66% the number that don't want him re-elected. Of course, in election or inauguration attendance numbers, that number is a winner!

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Only 66% the number that don't want him re-elected.

But he won with 30% of the vote, so Trump is good.

Good relations between Russia and the USA are always desirable, but sometimes circumstances conspire against them (e.g., the Cold War). Trump's persona or self-image is that of a self-important VIP with overflowing charisma who will sit down with anyone and "deal"; dictators, Dracula or the Devil himself, he imagines he can handle 'em all. If Hitler were still around, Trump would jump at the chance to curry favor with the Fuehrer, especially if he could make a guest appearance at a Nuremberg Rally. It's so gratifying to the ego to bask in the light of a star's luminous glow. Sadly, Trump has repeatedly shown that the job of POTUS is way beyond his very limited intellectual capacity, and his rude, abrasive personality makes enemies everywhere, except, as the eagle-eyed Russian press has duly noted, when he's bending over backwards to pally up to Putin. Time to pull the plug on Trump!

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Yeah, about that....

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/washington-secrets/media-blackout-trumps-60-point-accomplishment-list-of-american-greatness

Woah, the White House compiled a list of their own accomplishments? There can't be any bias there...

Seriously though, I almost stopped reading at "Since taking office, President Trump has strengthened American leadership, security, prosperity, and accountability," but the rest of the list includes opinions, paper-thin proposals and backings, premature mission accomplished-s, and a lot of hot air.
