Do or DEI: Trump's assault on diversity divides America

Trump supports diversity.
Just a few days ago, he signed an order that said both vaccinated and unvaccinated Americans should be allowed to serve.

Also believes in current and former convicts should have their spots in his administration.

Totally agree with these posters - Trump loves DEI....
He's married two foreigners, his right-hand guy Musk is a foreigner, and he wants to bring in a whole bunch of foreigners to replace American workers...
As for diversity, just go to a Trump rally - you'll see such diverse miscreants as felons, pervs, kooks, grifters, and racists...
"DEI" - Donald Enjoys Inclusiveness....

DEO...
Delivering equal opportunities for all, from cradle to grave.
Education, advancement at work, based on merit only.
Clear transparency, access.
This toxic poisonous ideology surrounding identity politics infesting, creating a culture within communities that divides, introduces extreme political polarization, in-group bias.

The US finally has a president who is unifying the country. Silly DEI policies have been tossed out and people are now viewed not by race, gender, and so forth, but as the human beings that they are.
DEI policies was one of the main reason Biden and Harris both got trounced out of the race by Trump.
Back to normalcy in the USA.

The hit pieces just keep coming. Demanding hiring based on merit is not an "assault on diversity" (whatever that means). But yes, the divide is there. The biased legacy media and their consumers are convinced that whatever Trump does is bad.

Truer words have never been spoken. Look at Japan as a great example of how screwed up a system becomes when they let old dinosaur males run the country.
It's only since Shiroi Ito shook things up that rape laws were changed so that they reflected consent and not violence as the metric.
As for the minorities and women who voted for Trump? I am alooking forward to seeing them cry after they get their faces eaten by leopards.

Hiring IS, and has always been, based on merit. The only thing diversity polices guaranteed was that it wasn't only white men who were hired on merit, but also equally qualified women and POC.
Last but not least, Trump is a serial rapist and admitted sexual predator; a grifter who has had to pay fines for fraudulent businesses; has repeatedly used his office as President for personal monetary gain; and is guilty of encouraging his follows to commit treason. Not to mention he is a misogynistic homoephobic racist a-hole who makes fun of the elderly and handicapped.
So good work, America. Enjoy reaping the rewards of your poor choice.

Typical liberal emotionally-charged irrationality, thinking anyone who disagrees with them is wrong, despite the fact the elections show America is turned off by the divisiveness the Democrats preached.
The American people showed they are smart enough not to vote for a female for president just because she is a female.
Trump united the country November 6 and the world is a better place because of it.
Especially the "minorities and women" he is appointing to high positions in the government.

It’s the 21st century now not the 19th. The biggest losers in DEI have been Asians who are the highest earners in the USA, hardly part of the white men old boys network.
Standards have been lowered to allow more women and minorities into jobs and education. Check the physicals for women in the military and fire service. Blacks and Hispanics can enter higher educational establishments with lower grades to fill quotas, it’s easy to find the information.

The California San Carlos Airport is without any flight controllers who resigned on mass after the Federal Administration FAA reassigned controllers contracts to a firm that pays less. More problems ahead.

American military veterans are also covered by DEI. People with disabilities as well.

I don’t think so, these are people who voted for him last time and were happy, Trump did something no other Republican has ever done, bring over more minorities with the help of his son Barron and Charlie Kirk as well as Candace Owen’s.
The left have theirs as well, doesn’t matter, as Biden once said, past crimes or (alleged ones) should be overlooked.
That is absolutely not true
So you just contradicted yourself.
Liberals tried so hard to get him on those bogus charges in the hopes it would block him from the Presidency, it didn’t and he is working on getting this nonsense expunged from his record.
Well, all the overhyped didn’t prove anything, the funny thing about all of this, for 8 long years the Dems and the establishment with some of the most powerful people on the planet tried to bury this guy twice and they failed, each and every single time. I think people woke up one day and realized, Trump was never the problem, it was the swamp and the establishment who really were the problem, but now that’s slowly being dismantled so that they never get the chance to do this political hit job on anyone else.
Naw, it was the best choice ever. Looking forward to his Presidential library, in the works as we speak.

Hate to break it to most people, but hiring in America is mostly based on connections.
Given that a white family has on average higher wealth than a black family, better connections are expected, along with better paying jobs.
Merit-based hiring is much more rare than one may think.

Minorities must be disturbed by Trump's comments.
TaiwanIsNotChina
Doubtful. Never needed connections for my job and low wage positions cannot afford to wait for people with connections.
bass4funk
I don’t think so, since a huge chunk of of them want to be judged by their merit and not by their skin or ethnicity
wallace
You know what they are thinking, again?
bass4funk
But you do?

"Largely focused on hiring practices and corporate culture, DEI has gone from being a marker of professionalism before the Trump era to a bogeyman, held up as an example of counterproductive virtue-signaling."
Nothing but the truth!

The minority members of my family were outraged by Trump's DEI comments.
