If you stand to lose nothing by making bad decisions for a companies future then you won’t care as long as you get paid. If you have ownership of said company and stand to lose millions by making poor choices you will have more pause for thought!

Liberals should relax, Musk just wants the platform to have an equal playing field from all sides the right and left and that's great and the people can decide what they agree and disagree with, they can down or upvote their opinions and no one particularly conservatives have to worry about being blocked, canceled or kicked off the platform.

If Twitter goes, then who cares. There will be another platform to take over. But not TrumpBook since it doesn't even work anyway - remember, Trump can't even build a wall. If Musk runs Twitter into the ground it will be like just one more dead cockroach with many more surviving and taking over. It's Musk's nickel. Who takes social media that seriously anyway.

One of the reasons for the lack of free speech is the presence of board members who are also on the board of the companies being promoted/defended by twitter (or FB.....).

That depends on who you are asking, there are other alternatives out there, but it depends on what your personal needs are.

Right on. But in this capitalist system aren't we selling bits and pieces of ourselves everyday to make a living?

In this case it could be data; but it is also with our time, youth, physical stamina or creativity.
