Trump is doing fine. Just a bunch of whiners who wish they were elected Pres and kowtowing for their corporate doners. Economically the US is doing great, the only complainers are people who care more about social issues (probably because they do not work)

Still, although most Republicans repudiate his words, they draw the line at saying his name at the same time. They know that if they say his name while criticizing him, he will attack them on twitter, and then encourage someone more to the right to run against them in the next primary. The Republicans have been systematically gerrymandering every state that they control, which gives outsized power to the radical right within the gerrymandered districts. They are stuck between a rock and a hard place. If they stop gerrymandering, they will lose control of the House of Representatives during Presidential election years, when Democrats traditionally come out to vote in higher numbers than Republicans, but because of gerrymandering the far-right is able to throw out moderates from office during primaries, and to then get their candidates elected. Without gerrymandering the far-right candidates would stand less chance of getting elected in the general elections, when moderate Republicans would have a better chance of getting Democratic votes. Profiles in Courage, it is not.

Most republicans had doubts about Mr. Trump the entire time. We knew he was a nasty human, but hoped he would magically become "Presidential" over time.

I can say it - we were wrong.

This isn't anything new. The republican core were overwhelmed with far-far-right primary voters who just didn't want any career politician. ANYONE except a politician would have worked. The primary system in the USA didn't self-correct and Mr. Trump got the nomination, much to the dismay of lifelong republicans.

This President will be the best campaign example for why having a politician, as slimy as they are, is better than an egomaniac, in any elected office. At least with politicians, they only get a crazy idea they have a mandate when there truly is a mandate. The rest of the time, they are trying to be popular enough to get re-elected.

OTOH, at least we didn't have a Democrat destroying our country four more years.

Why are we being kept waiting -- let's just fast-forward to his OUSTER!

Economically the US is doing great,

Americans seems to not attribute that to anything Trump has done though (he hasn't actually done much economic agenda so far, since he's been bogged down with his immigration, Trumpcare, and Russia issues). It's more like the US is doing fine despite him - that's why his approval ratings has been so low among Americans

Hopefully, enough Americans realize that the fiscal year runs from Oct. 1, 2016 to Sept. 30, 2017, so Trump's policies won't take effect until Oct. 1, 2017. It's all Mr. Obama!

America has been luckily so far because Trump has shown to be incompetent as a politician.

Most Americans probably miss Mr. Obama now, but wait until some of these policies go into effect coupled with his unprofessional incompetent way of handling crises and unfulfilled promises. Some of his supporters will be in a world of hurt just like those supporters that actually got arrested for voter fraud or deported.
