I don't need social media telling me stuff about Islam. Looking at recent history and to countries governed by Islam, I know Islam is the opposite of civilization and Sharia law the return to the dark ages.

Stop blaming internet services for flaws in human nature. The pro-censorship scare tactics are getting old.

Reckless...

What I find perplexing is that Islamic countries fight each other and don’t help Muslim refugees.

Maybe you should study a little more?

About 3.5 million Afghans in Iran, Turkey has about the same number fro Syria and Iraq. Lebanon has less but about one in four people in Lebanon is a refugee... All these numbers shame any western country.

In the history they don't teach you in the U.S we learn about how Islam destroyed entire civilizations (e.g. the glorious ancient Greek one) just because they enslaved the country. After that, those countries never went back to normal. They're still decades behind other neighboring countries.

Instead of writing about sensationalist buzzwords, how about you document the weekly/monthly destruction of Christian churches all across Europe, especially in places like France? Churches are being desecrated, burnt down, the staff is mistreated by those you defend in this article.

No one said they're all like that, but sorry to say...stereotypes came to be for a good reason. People didn't just imagine it. A good number of them fit into the stereotype. You can't doubt the lived experience of people actually living in the countries or neighborhood stuff like that is happening.

If hippies in the US want to believe the average of that group is a Care Bear then so be it. See how it turns out for you.

And the practices of the Taliban regarding women and homosexuals aren’t real Islam. Real Islam has never been tried.

The scriptures of Islam are quite clear about the position of women and what should be done with homosexuals.

What isn’t real about it?

Islam does a pretty good job of creating Islamaphobia. Social media only reflects that.

As far as the Islamic women politicians cited in the article, much of the criticism towards them stems from their own comments condemning America, the country that took them in and gave them the opportunity to succeed, opportunities non,-existent in their native lands.

Muslims in secular countries should try to fit in-always focusing on differences is not the way to live in the west

Judging by many of the comments here the title is on the mark

There's nothing Islamic in what they do, just like the Crusades and Inquisitions weren't Christian and Nutty Yahoo's stupid Gaza war this year wasn't Jewish.

I've seen posts on Youtube promoting Islamophobic hate, like Muslims were a RACE and not a religion and 'they' were bent on conquering Europe. Guess what, brothers and sisters? Albania is mostly Muslim and during the Yugoslavia Breakup wars, Bosnian Muslims were subject to ethnic cleansing, mass rapes, concentration camps and genocide. Why? Because they were Muslims.

Islam is another religion and there's no justification for bigotry against Muslims. The Antichrist Donald Trump is very Islamophobic and he has used the social media to spread hate against it too.
