Gaetz has an inflammatory big mouth.

That’s why he won in a landslide. It helps, and the people like it.

*And he's using the projectionism trick just like Trump does all the time. *

Or any other politician.

It's obvious and clear that some people never mentally mature or grow up and Gaetz, Trump and others like them are proof of that.

That’s one sided take on it, others believe that Republicans for far too long have allowed the left to push them around and now you have a new generation of Republicans that are using the same political tactics as they do and now the left is crying foul.

 “war on terror”

That term was first by the Reagan administration in 1985 -1986 for the Libya war of 1986. Of course, Qaddafy was certainly not and never was the only terrorist puke in the world. And that war didn't end all terror by any means, either. If anything, it made more Americans afraid to fly to Europe.

“For months, our cities burned, police stations burned, our businesses were shattered. And they said nothing. Or they cheer-led for it. And they fund-raised for it. And they allowed it to happen in the greatest country in the world,” Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz said during Trump’s second impeachment. “Now, some have cited the metaphor that the president lit the flames. Well, they lit actual flames, actual fires!”

Gaetz has an inflammatory big mouth. And he's using the projectionism trick just like Trump does all the time.

'Teeeee-chuh! Joey's shooting rubber baaa-ands. I didn't do it. Not meeee'. Blaming others for you do yourself.

It's obvious and clear that some people never mentally mature or grow up and Gaetz, Trump and others like them are proof of that.

I believe when a person is caught and found out for doing anything diabolical that would harm innocents as well as the nation then I am for total retribution.

I believe when a person is caught and suspected but not proven of doing anything diabolical that would harm innocents as well as the nation then I am for total torture.

Fixed that for ya' Bass. This article is all about you.

It's totalitarian language. Orwell called it NewSpeak. Just like mistreatment, torture and rape of war prisoners became acceptable to many Americans in the 00's (and some of it was just ignored or shoved aside), then in a 2016 TV interview Trumpster gleefully gushed, 'I love torture' and see the horrors his dictatorship unleashed.

Dictatorship? I am assuming you are unaware of what that means, but there was no dictatorship at least not according to 74 million people, back then the people were allowed to vote for the person of their choice. Restoring religious freedom, empowering the people more than the average politician would, to not wage another Washington lie-filled war and send thousands to die in order to cash in as much as they could, if that would be considered a dictatorship then in that case it is a good thing and as for torture, I believe when a person is caught and found out for doing anything diabolical that would harm innocents as well as the nation then I am for total retribution.

Up to that point, we've been building the perfect beast

We have not, for 8 years the people overwhelmingly agreed that those policies were not what more than half of the nation wanted and they didn't want to see another term in the same political direction governed by the same socialist policies that got the nation to where it is in the first place.

and nobody seemed to take notice. Sad and tragic.

They have, oh, and how they have.

These denials may not sway a majority of Americans.

Really? But the "majority" (100,000,000+), preoccupied by their immediate personal lives, obviously won't do anything to dispute the boiler-plate "plausible deniability" of Uncle Sam, who can illegally destroy thousands of CIA torture videos and other evidence and consequently get away with murder. Way back when, the disillusioned "counter-culture" generation of America, refusing to believe the specious and mendacious official reports on America's war on Vietnam, already coined the term, "the credibility gap" while Frank Zappa on Freak Out, the first double LP, sang "The Torture Never Stops".

There is denial when there is an attempt to minimize the BLM and other protests of two summers ago that resulted in more property damage and deaths than the January 6 protest.

RKL, did you note the definition of “advantageous comparisons” in the article?

You see examples of this clear delusion each day....it is now a core communication value of the Repub party...

"It seemed like a normal day with tourists".....

https://thehill.com/homenews/house/565223-gop-rep-defends-description-of-normal-tourist-visit-on-jan-6/

Nothing but a crutch for the weak-minded to deny reality...and for others to manipulate and scam them out of their money...

Trickle-down denial

An economy and political system based on oft-repeated lies engenders a culture of grifting.
