In promising to shake up Washington, Trump is in a class of his own

The special needs class?

However, Skocpol said, chaos might be the actual goal.

“Parts of American conservatism have been trying to make government a mess when they control it, and then use it as an argument for less government," she said.

Yes, Trump is creating his swamp of oligarch kleptocrats so the state will wither away and all that will be left is their corporacratic influence.

Trump is in a class of his own

It is not just Trump. This time he is joined by a whole bunch of level-headed and strong individuals (many of them former democrats) who too want to drain the swamp. It is almost like a superhero cartoon. Singling out the orang e guy for smearing by the legacy media does not work this time around.

Trump was going to drain the swamp in his first term. Needs a second bite at the apple, maybe.

Yes, he sure is a running fool. Let's just hope the Constitution holds.

Yes you do have to turn to the ranks of the sex offenders, grifters, foreign assets, and sycophants to get the level headed.

Donald Trump campaign promised unequivocally radical fundamental change, the US electorate delivered a comprehensive mandate to bring forth unprecedented political transformation in governmental structures, policies, most importantly immigration, law and order, leadership.

Especially in the areas of toxic cultural/identity politics, an end to the poisonous dogmatic ideology associated with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion zealotry.

Be ruthless get it done!!

He doesn't want to make America great, he wants to destroy it.

Donald Trump administration could well struggle to match the rhetoric, Some of his picks are ill suited to lead manage federal institutions government.

However, must be change, US people will want to feel government cares, also can unite a divided nation country.

fiscal governance is a two-way street - what goes in and what goes out.

yes, massive cost savings are there for the taking, but the purse strings are held by congress.

the critters in congress will only vote to cut things that don’t affect their district and state. and they’re happy to do the bidding of lobbyists because the lobbyists get them elected with money, money, money.

the in is also a problem. the wealthy don’t pay taxes. and they also don’t pay the medicare and self-employment tax that everyone else has coming out of their paycheck every week.

they use shell limited partnerships, so they don’t pay it. you do, but they don’t.

probably hundreds of billions of dollars that they don’t pay. the irs has tried for 20 years to stop it, but congress always shoots it down, because they take advantage of it too, plus the lobbyists,

musk does it, trump does it, will they fix that? of course not.

think about this for a minute. a rich guy doesn't pay any taxes at all, and hasn’t for years, but kisses the flag, holds up bibles and people think he’s a patriotic american. and is elected president.

if he was that patriotic, he’d pay a few dollars now and then. but no. nothing, zip, nada.

warren buffet pays taxes happily because america gives him the opportunity to earn the returns and builds the infrastructure used by his companies and companies he invests in.

when americans look at their paycheck and see all of the money taken out, remember that trump and his ilk don’t pay any taxes. that’s your job.

He doesn't want to make America great, he wants to destroy it.

If that were true, people would have voted for Kamala.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

people did, but more voted for lies because they don't know any better.

the mentally disabled can vote in the U.S.

21% of the population is illiterate.

52 million have an IQ of 85 of less.

people did, but more voted for lies because they don't know any better.

So basically, you are saying with a straight face that the majority of Americans who voted are just dumb?

the mentally disabled can vote in the U.S.

Well, on that note you have proved why the Dems lost.

21% of the population is illiterate.

So 79% of the literate Americans voted for change, good to know

52 million have an IQ of 85 of less.

Good, so 48 million minorities voted wisely, good to know.

I guess it is good that the nutters that are being brought in will have exactly zero effect in this area.

the mentally disabled can vote in the U.S.

As they should.

21% of the population is illiterate.

A controversial statement given that we have lots of nonnative English speakers.

So basically, you are saying with a straight face that the majority of Americans who voted are just dumb?

no. dumb, naive, shallow thinking or a combination.

go for a drive, then maybe to a sports bar.

how else do you describe someone who voted for a person who said, “i don’t care about you, i just want your vote.”

or, “they're eating the dogs, they’re eating the cats…”

A controversial statement given that we have lots of nonnative English speakers.

the largest percentage of low-literacy people are white, u.s. born adults.

just look for the red hat behind the wheel of a pickup truck headed to the sports bar. ;)

Trump was going to drain the swamp in his first term. Needs a second bite at the apple, maybe.

You are right, the first time around he pretty much failed in that. It was him alone, surrounded by lying swamp creatures.

This time is different. He is accompanied by a whole group of people who also want to clean up the mess (as I pointed out, many of them former democrats, so this outside the 2-party theater performance), plus he has learned a lot about Washington and the swamp.

As Jordan Peterson said, it is almost like an installment of the "X men".

Yes, Trump is creating his swamp of oligarch kleptocrats so the state will wither away and all that will be left is their corporacratic influence.

Seriously, you are unaware that most of the oligarch kleptokrats were and are against Trump and pro establishment uniparty? Talk about projection.

Yes you do have to turn to the ranks of the sex offenders, grifters, foreign assets, and sycophants to get the level headed.

RFK and Tulsi Gabbard (both of whom ran against Trump previously) are now "ex offenders, grifters, foreign assets, and sycophants"? In what what world??

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

no. dumb, naive, shallow thinking or a combination.

The Dems are completely out of power and their darling star possible Presidential candidate is Gavin Newsom? Really? Dumb, naive, shallow?

go for a drive, then maybe to a sports bar.

That still wouldn't save the Dems politically.

how else do you describe someone who voted for a person who said, “i don’t care about you, i just want your vote.”

The Dems said the same thing, the difference is, that most of the voters felt the left really doesn't care.

the largest percentage of low-literacy people are white, u.s. born adults.

And it was Black and Latino voters in the US that got him over the finish line, with no vitriol against them?

As opposed to Fauci? Good grief. More upside down talking points.

"Anthony Stephen Fauci is an American physician-scientist and immunologist who served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases from 1984 to 2022, and the chief medical advisor to the president from 2021 to 2022."

What did you miss? Numerous awards.

As Jordan Peterson said, it is almost like an installment of the "X men".

Is he still doing the rounds and grifting the teenagers? The last time I saw him was a clip where he was babbling incoherently when asked a simple question about whether god exists.

Got to walk a fine line when cultivating an audience. A bit of a minefield.

Lay off the podcasts for the youth.. Try thinking for yourself.

People should make up their own minds as to whether they want to take the vaccine or not. a lot of people took the vaccine during Covid, I didn't and I am glad that I didn't allow these.....people to climb into my head and push me to take the stuff. I know a few people who have had problems after taking it, for me I feel like I dodged a bullet.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

And a joke as well, you forgot that as well.

Fauci served your country impeccably for 3 decades. The way that you politicized and demonized that man was disgusting.

He knows more about his business than any politician ever will, especially one who thought that bleach and light were a way to combat something that killed over a million Americans.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Is Trump/RFK going to do something about the 40 million who cannot afford health insurance or basic healthcare? The many tens of millions with healthcare bankruptcies.

And a joke as well, you forgot that as well.

You do not have 1% of the education, experience, and numerous awards of Fauci.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Fauci served your country impeccably for 3 decades. The way that you politicized and demonized that man was disgusting.

So you are saying, I am not allowed to have an opinion of the man and I am supposed to click my heels in lockstep and node in agreement when libs praise someone? I would call that the epitome of fascism.

He knows more about his business than any politician ever will,

That would be up to Congress to take on that situation.

I don't need to when calling someone a joke.

Then why did Trump try to change healthcare during his first term?

You do not have 1% of the education, experience, and numerous awards of Fauci.

I don't need to when calling someone a joke.

You try and insult an expert so much more qualified than you.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Dr. Fauci has served under seven US presidents, starting with Ronald Reagan, and in 2008 he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

So you are saying, I am not allowed to have an opinion of the man and I am supposed to click my heels in lockstep and node in agreement when libs praise someone?

I said nothing of the sort. I'm saying that your persucution and politicizing of a public health official trying to to do his job in the midst of a global pandemic was disgusting.

I would call that the epitome of fascism.

That's because you politicize science. I'd say politicizing a scientist for political gain was not the epitome of facism, it was just stupid.

Taken out of context as usual.

BS. Trump thought bleach and light were antidotes to Covid. We have his dumb words to prove it. If a kid suggested this you'd be worried and put him straight.

And he is proposing wormbrain guy to oversee the health of 350 million people.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

There is a very evident link between a person's accomplishments and intelligence and how much MAGA hates that person. Dr. Fauci is one of the most cited scientists in the world, meaning that among the people who know their stuff, he's among the absolute best of the best.

Trump, OTOH, is regularly ranked by political experts as among the worst presidents America has ever had.

MAGA despise intelligence and accomplishment. That's why they have it in for Fauci.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I am not allowed to have an opinion of the man

That's all it is, an opinion. Medical science is not based on opinions.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Then why did Trump try to change healthcare during his first term?

He tried to make it more affordable, more options, less hassle, and then McCain tanked it.

You try and insult an expert so much more qualified than you.

Yes, I can do that as a free person, it doesn't matter how many degrees he has, I don't bow or worship the man, on the contrary. Now if people want to stop me, silence or block my personal feelings that is ok, but that tells you a lot about those people who think they have the right to silence you because of your personal opinion.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

So you are saying, I am not allowed to have an opinion of the man?

Everyone's allowed an opinion. But if your opinion is based entirely on nonsense, prejudice and jealousy, then you can't be surprised when you get blowback.

I could say that Mike Tyson was a useless boxer and that I could have beaten him when he was at his peak. I could insist that I'm allowed to have that opinion. But I would be laughed out of the room by people who actually knew their boxing history, and I would deserve it.

Or I could say that Bob Dylan's lyrics were puerile rubbish and Kid Rock is a superior musician. I could insist that that's my opinion. I would however be shellacked by people who know their music history.

I could of course play the "persecution" card - "they hate me because I'm right" - but that would get me laughed at even more.

If Fauci had backed up Trump and said "yeah, shining UV light where the sun doesn't shine will cure Covid", the MAGA people would be lauding him as a hero.

I said nothing of the sort. I'm saying that your persucution and politicizing of a public health official trying to to do his job in the midst of a global pandemic was disgusting.

I disagree.

That's because you politicize science.

They started it.

I'd say politicizing a scientist for political gain was not the epitome of facism, it was just stupid.

So were a lot of his medical opinions

BS. Trump thought bleach and light were antidotes to Covid. We have his dumb words to prove it. If a kid suggested this you'd be worried and put him straight.

Nope, it was taken out of context. This is why the libs need to stop listening to their own bias news sources.

Specht: Right. And I don't remember the timing off the top of my head, but there were moments where some people appeared to downplay it and then offer alternative medicines. We saw that with hydroxychloroquine, a lot of Republicans speculated that that was a potential cure and studies showed that wasn't the case. We saw a lot of misinformation about what could and could not affect the coronavirus.

Terry: So how did you rate this claim by President Biden?

Specht: Mostly false. Trump did mention bringing UV rays and disinfectants into the body, but let's remember what Biden said. He said his predecessor, quote, "told Americans all they had to do was inject bleach in themselves, just take a shot of UV light." That is not what Trump said. It was by no means a demand, an instruction, a recommendation. Trump was speaking off the cuff. And then, scientists say, in an ill-advised way. He was not telling anyone to do anything. He was floating ideas for potential treatments to be tested. That's why we rated Biden's claim that Trump told people to inject bleach mostly false.

And he is proposing wormbrain guy to oversee the health of 350 million people.

Yes, possibly, I want him to take all the poison and chemicals out of the foods. I'm more worried about that.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

There is a very evident link between a person's accomplishments and intelligence and how much MAGA hates that person.

Do you have scientific proof to back that up or is this just more lib speak?

Dr. Fauci is one of the most cited scientists in the world, meaning that among the people who know their stuff, he's among the absolute best of the best.

Well, that is your opinion, I think differently

Trump, OTOH, is regularly ranked by political experts as among the worst presidents America has ever had.

If that is so, he wouldn't have gotten a second term and be named Person of the Year twice by TIME magazine as well as maintaining the House and getting the Senate. Not sure what you are talking about. Lol

MAGA despise intelligence and accomplishment. That's why they have it in for Fauci.

No, most of us hate the swamp, Government, Big Pharma and Fauchi.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Everyone's allowed an opinion. But if your opinion is based entirely on nonsense, prejudice and jealousy, then you can't be surprised when you get blowback.

I don't care about the blowback, you do what you gotta do and so will I.

If Fauci had backed up Trump and said "yeah, shining UV light where the sun doesn't shine will cure Covid", the MAGA people would be lauding him as a hero.

I don't think so. Just because you are aligned with Trump doesn't mean we approve, we are not lemmings.

Sorry, I just wanted to cut through all the garrulous muddle and get to the point.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Criticism should be based on medical facts and not the opinions of Jo Soap.

According to whom??

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Do you have scientific proof to back that up or is this just more lib speak?

The irony of a person who hates and slanders Dr. Fauci demanding "scientific proof". That's just chefs kiss.

Well, that is your opinion, I think differently

That he is among the most cited scientists in the world is not my opinion. It has been calculated.

If that is so, he wouldn't have gotten a second term and be named Person of the Year twice by TIME magazine as well as maintaining the House and getting the Senate.

He got a second term because a large number of Americans are deeply stupid, and it hurts me to say that as an American, but it's true. And Time magazine named Hitler as Person of the Year, so I guess they always get it right.

Again, I disagree.

and it hurts me to say that as an American, but it's true.

I'm American as well and I think it's funny how you guys lost.

And Time magazine named Hitler as Person of the Year, so I guess they always get it right.
