all the while swinging the poor dog around with its front feet off the ground while it struggled to get out of her death-grip.

I didn't notice that the first time I watched the video. After reading a reference to it, I watched the video, and the poor dog is choking to death while she is threatening Mr. Cooper. It's literally trying to climb up her so that it can get some air, and she is pushing it off of her, forcing it to choke more. It was horrifying.

The man who did this is a twisted sicko. He baited a woman into a fearful confrontation, leaving her with few choices to protect herself. Run away?

Have you even seen the video? He asked her to not let her dog run loose in a part of the park where dogs are not allowed off-lead. He did not ‘bait’ her: she was the confrontational one, far from running away, she was the one stalking up to him while issuing threats about calling the cops- all the while swinging the poor dog around with its front feet off the ground while it struggled to get out of her death-grip. He was the one who had to remind her not to get too close, and it’s clear from the video that he is backing off as she approaches and gestures at him.

All because he asked her to not let her dog run wild in an area where dogs are not allowed off-lead.

He threatened to throw doggie treats to the woman's dog.

I get it. So you decided to make up some stuff about him threatening to poison her dog, somehow thinking that made for an honest debate on the matter. Got it.

He threatened to poison her dog,

The latest Qanon conspiracy theory.

Who makes this stuff up?

Gee, the guy in the video, who posted this information himself to his own Facebook page, is Q? That's some heavy stuff there.

Sorry, but it's not some Qanon crypto nonsense to repeat the same facts that the guy posted to his own Facebook page. He threatened to throw doggie treats to the woman's dog. Whether his implied threat was to kidnap the dog or poison it may be unclear, but he plainly meant it as a threat. He stated himself that he intended to scare the woman. The woman responded, predictably and justifiably, but getting scared.

The man who did this is a twisted sicko. He baited a woman into a fearful confrontation, leaving her with few choices to protect herself. Run away? He's faster because she has a small dog to look after. Pull a gun? She's a liberal-minded New York woman who doesn't have one (which is probably why the jerk picked on her). Her only protection was her phone. And then this sociopath posts the video online of a confrontation that he initiated, frames her fear for her dog as racism, and unleashes a social media mob to destroy her life. Why? For the crime of exercising her dog.

 Why the racial reference?

One does not need to be a racist to take advantage of the racism of others. Besides which, you might also note that she made a gender reference knowing full well that as a woman she will be given special treatment over a man....except for the video she would have.

A knee to the neck is common procedure for restraining people. Cops use it all the time to keep a person pinned to the ground from moving. Yet it's suddenly racist behavior in this one case?

I agree its not proof of racism. However its commonality does not justify it. Its a dangerous thing to do. Its just indicative of police not caring if the people they detain live or die...in fact, perhaps enjoying the potential to kill and doing so sometimes.

A knee to the back or side of the neck cannot possibly cut of a person's air flow.

Let someone try it on you after you have exerted yourself for several minutes please. You will find out that it can cut off air enough to kill you.

The coroner's report is clear that the man did not die from asphyxiation, but possibly from an underlying heart condition.

So with or without police brutality that guy was going to die that day regardless?

We can see your liberal use of the word "possibly". Its completely ridiculous. Its obvious Floyd died because 4 police were too incompetent to restrain one man and one was clearly just a thug with a badge. We don't need an autopsy to know we watched a cop murder a man.

The woman in Central Park freaked out and started calling the cops after the man accosting her about her unleashed pet threatened to toss poisoned meat to her dog.

That's not how I read the story. He said he would pull out some dog treats that he uses for such occasions. It perhaps implied poisoning, but there was no direct threat. He admitted what he said was intended to frighten her.

What got me was how she described the situation to the police. "There is an African-American man, I am in Central Park, he is recording me and threatened myself and my dog". Why the racial reference? Especially in New York where the racial mix is the norm.

He threatened to poison her dog, and she's racist for calling the cops on him?

In Minneapolis, the viral image is the police officer with a knee on the side of a man's neck. What isn't shown is the several minutes before that where the man is fighting with the cops as they try to get him settled in the police car. Eventually, they had to pull him back out and pin him to the ground to restrain him.

No. They were looking for an event to fit their narrative and justify riots.

As often as not, viral video clips are cleverly edited, deceptively framed, staged nonsense. Videos can, and do, lie.

"I'm not excusing the racism. But I don't know if her life needed to be torn apart," said Christian Cooper, who is no relation to Amy.

I agree. No way this woman should have lost her job over that incident. Overreaction to racism is pretty bad in its own way.

Mobile phone cameras have shined a light on many acts of murder by police that formerly were hidden.
