Maybe they could head to Truth Social?
Now that'd be fun to watch.

If there is need for a platform like Twitter with active moderation and well stablished rules that guarantee respect then it will appear again. If the demand is not there then that would be the actual problem.

Or maybe the left can just try and engage in civil discourse and debate on the issues and allow EVERYONE to speak out and say what they want and respect one another's opinions

‘Influencers’
My image of this is people spamming social media with sock-puppet accounts.
I suppose there are some serious ones.

“Folks, it’s getting ugly here. I am not really sure what my plan is. Stay or go?” Jennifer Taub, a law professor and author with about a quarter million followers, said Sunday, as she tweeted out a link to her Facebook page in case she leaves Twitter.
Go.
If a law professor does not respect people speaking freely then no love lost here.

The thing is that many people (and in some way myself too) have a not very well defined concept of "freedom of speech"... or "freedom" in general.
My concept of freedom (and I hope it to be close to what ideally shoudl be) is that, freedom have limits that are defined by the freedom of others. "my freedom ends where your freedom begins"
But I feel that many, have the idea that freedom is limitless, where my freedom goes over your freedom...

If miss Chandler was stupid enough to build a business around a single point of failure then she has no one to blame but her self. Twitter is (apparently unlike hers) an unprofitable business that has made a loss throughout its life, acceptable for a startup but not a massive mature corporation, had it gone bust she would have lost her business anyway, now it is up to Musk to make it profitable or it will go the way of the dinosaurs regardless of the “influencers” having the vapours. As far as I can see a bunch of self important, self centred gadfly’s primarily interested in serving their own agenda and profits.

Were my dear old mom asked this question she would have replied tartly " you'll go to H - E - double L if you don't change your ways". She was a wise woman.

As her compatriots often said until recently, she can go start her own social network. Nothing stopping her.
