Melania didn't 'care,' but Jill Biden wants to show she does

What a great comment to end the article!

Melania was a stylish first lady but she seemed cold and distant and was a reflection of her husband: a tone-deaf narcissist who absolutely did not care about the plight of the average joe. Good to be rid of the both of them and have the Bidens, who are the polar opposites, in the White House. The calming effect they bring can already be felt by many in government and in all walks of life.

Melania was under attack from the moment her husband ran. With even a few puff pieces (like this one here) she might have been a different first lady. Anyone who believes that Joe Biden cares about the average guy is hopelessly naive.
Even if I liked Biden, pandering articles like this are an embarrassment in a democracy. I think only North Korea's Un gets a more adoring press.

The fat guy LOST. Get over it. Melania did and was looking forward to Jan 20 2021 ever since the night of Nov 8 2016.

Wouldn't know it from the way you guys and your lapdog media keep talking about it. I am just commenting on the article - it seems you are the ones who can't get over it.
Pukey2
OK, I'll let you in on a secret......
THE FAT GUY LOST!

Republican supporters would boo even Mother Theresa if she was a democrat

Given how the media was to her husband as well as the Bush's, the Reagan's being protective is the best thing to be and do, let the media do what they want, if they want to define you as cold, their choice, the conservative media has their opinions about the Clinton's, Obama's and this President, goes with the territory.

Well, I doubt if that coat comment applies to when she found out Donald was with Stormy Daniels while she was home caring for 11 month old Barron...and that he paid her $300K to keep quiet...
I bet Trump needed a lot more bronzer to cover up all the red marks from the slaps...

Same as Michelle Obama from the rightist press. Our rightist posters here gave her a hard time. Some were furious at her idea of promoting healthy eating among the young.
P. Smith’s comment about playing the victim is about right.

Having decent people in the White House again is good for the nation, and good for the world.

Indeed, Melania Trump is effortlessly stylish and ice cool, elegance and beauty.
However, cold and illusive, lacking empathy away from the media spotlight.
And, if I may suggest an upmarket Cruella de Vil.
So what does Jill Biden, first lady, fit in?
Well you would not find/catch Melania Trump sporting a mask when the photo call required charm and polish.

Conservative are good at playing the victims and not telling the truth. No wonder they adored the criminal and his family.
bass4funk
That’s painting a broad brush and liberals are the virtues of truth and reality?
Toasted Heretic
You'd have to ask a liberal.
Toasted Heretic
Yes, on a daily basis.
How does, I mean, did he get away with it?
Trump, obviously.

Don't forget, the righteous right were having a hissy fit when she dared wear a .............. sleeveless dress. The sheer audacity. Almost as bad as wearing a ............ tan suit.
bass4funk
Yeah, but he’s not in office, can’t pick on him now, so Jill can do what?
Toasted Heretic
Tell the truth?
Even if she is centre right (but that's what passes for liberal in rabid right circles).
You should be happy, really. You've got a genuine conservative FLotUS in the White House.
Truth is important, I sincerely hope the Biden administration can roll back the avanlanche of misinformation and downright lies from the last 4 years.
Incidentally, a certain "conservative" has posted here for (approx.) 10 years (according to the post history).
Let's say (conservatively) 10 posts a day, each containing (conservatively) 2 falsehoods.
That's 20 porkies a day.
7, 300 per year.
That's 73,000 over the last decade.
And that's a very conservative estimate.

I always thought Melania Trump was like an iceberg. Body language reveals so much about her. I can't count the number of times she looked uncomfortable holding Trump's hand and sometimes she pulled her hand away when he tried to hold her hand.
But what really appalled me was the expletive outburst she came out with about not wanting to decorate the White House for Christmas... as if she has do the decorating herself.
bass4funk
Naw, liked Melanie better.
Democrat or did she run on the Republican ticket?.
I read her work and her doctoral thesis, seems spelling is not her strong suit and what does she teach?
Toasted Heretic
Liked her so much you can't even be bothered to remember her name.
What would be the MAGA equivalent call her ideology? Dino (Democrat in name only)?
Actually, why am I asking? 45ists probably see her as ultra-Marxist...
bass4funk
Sorry, had a Schumer moment.
Equivalent no, but chills ideology of Marxism, yeah..
bass4funk
I’m just saying with a lot of scholars and pundi said, so please don’t take it up with me I’m just referring to lotta articles that complained about it.

I didn't follow Melania's doings all that much, but it certainly was more appealing to see her face than that of Hillary Clinton.
I hope the Republicans don't stoop to the garbage level of Stanford law professor Pamela Karlan (a Democrat) and Hollywood liberals that went after Barron Trump, the son of the president. Barron was only 13 years of age and liberals, obviously full of hate, went after him. Yet, going after Joe Biden's grown son, Hunter, was a no-no in the eyes of the left. Just too much hypocrisy.
bass4funk
Yup.
