This is the American agenda. Meanwhile, the Koreans are just trying to defend themselves as long as they can. The cost, as far as the economy and civil life are concerned, is of course enormous.

I am against this type of saber-rattling, but resistance can be considered a win. NK won the war just by still existing. =The weaker hand prevails.

China's "Stealth" fighter is the size of the old FB-111 and it still doesn't have stealthy engines. The prototype that flew the other day was using engines from Russia because China hasn't finished developing stealthy ones yet (though they're feverishly working on it). So there's a ways to go before China truly has a stealth "fighter" of their own.

I don't think the allies would put up with a second artillery barrage from N.K., either. If they pulled that stunt again, N.K.'s 2:1 advantage in tanks would quickly get reduced due to superior airpower.

A pleasant thought for sure but ironically it is NKorea's benefactor China that has made it very clear to the world that bringing up the living standards and economy of a dictatorship doesn't bring it any closer to democracy, as the dictatoprship simply tightens it's grip on the people and now with the improved economy becomes an even bigger threat to it;s neighbors. No, I'd say the Kim regime needs to be ousted first before we can help the people of NKorea.

But where are they flocking to? Where can these indominatable powers go? Will they take over the world? Or just implode due to incompetence, greed, corruption and overpopulation along with environmental ruin. But, join the club. The U.S. is great at this gig too.

Starving 23 million of north koreans can be called "play well"? People that try to escape from the Kim regime is executed or their families sent to prison and the author make it sounds like the Kim dynasty must to be admired.

Perhaps the biggest difference between the militaries of the rival Koreas is a matter of attitude. As a North Korean colonel put it in 2009, according to an International Crisis Group report, “Everyone must clearly understand there is no advanced technology in this world that can counter or anticipate the unlimited ruthlessness and power of our retaliatory strikes.”
