Often in error but still seductive: Why we can't quit election polls

Polls are easy to do poorly and in high demand for the politically inclined which should be everybody as the election approaches. I think the answer is for the law to help these companies reach all cell phone users. I believe they are currently restricted to landlines which wildly skews the results.

Always found it surprising why any voter needs to know what the polling results are constantly prior to the election. Of course it's plenty useful to the electorate but I would presume they look at the data itself rather than read the news story.
