This is very sad turn of events...such a relationship breakdown between the brothers.

Keeps the tabloids busy and the royals in people’s conversations.

It is probably beneficial to the survival of royal family as an institution. Starving them of publicity would be more damaging.

There aren’t any major differences, that is all only a stage play for the masses. Of course they are chained together by blood , heritage and family, and they have the same interests in keeping the royal family and rich wealthy lifestyle. Anyone from outside or bystanders can now have a choice to put sympathy or antipathy on one of the two and such all sides are cleverly served. Divide et impera, that’s the very old ancient and simple rule behind it, working for every empire through any epochs of history.

I get the same impression from the article, if there is even a lapse of time where things with the British royal family were just uneventful a lot of people would find the whole thing superfluous and boring and maybe a lot of them would question the need to keep funding it.

Imagine how sad your life must be to end up a 'royal commentator'.

What 'duties' do royalty really have anyway? It looks at the very least a boring position to be in, assigned to you just because of your 'blue blood'. I'm with the Sex Pistols and Motorhead on this one - abolish the damn monarchy. Who needs it anymore?

Why do they have to be close? When all is said and done, they are people just like the rest of us and people have differences, royalty and peasantry alike.

@Mocheake

It’s a good point. I’m sure pretty much all of us here know people who hardly speak to family members or perhaps don’t themselves.

Family rows have been a staple of UK soap operas for as long as I can remember.

The most damaging claim, however, was that an unnamed royal had speculated about the skin color of mixed-race Meghan's future child. William reacted later by telling a journalist that the royals were "very much not" a racist family.

Absolutely racism is at the bottom of this.

The Sun tabloid reported this month

So it must be true then.

The most damaging claim, however, was that an unnamed royal had speculated about the skin color of mixed-race Meghan's future child.

I've read about this a number of times but never actually heard any details of what was actually said and the reason behind it. Could it have been genuine interest? My mother-in-law speculated about what our mixed-race kids would look like before they were born and there was no malice at all. It was genuine interest and she was delighted to see the result.

The "unnamed" Royal was Prince Philip, who was only stating out loud exactly what everyone else was thinking.

Indeed, when the only royal family member of any importance is the one who's head of state. The others could just vanish into anonymity and no one would be any worse off.

Meghan and Harry get all the attention, without being in England, pure jealous, since Harry had no prospect of being King, why be a part of a dying empire

I am not at all surprised!!!

Look at the pictures, the expressions tell all. The good, the bad and the sad. One wants to live a private privileged life the other just wants to be like everyone else and accept life fate as it comes.

This is what harry's wife set out to do.

This NASTY, NASTY Vixen would be a great match-up with trump.

Every move is pre-meditated, hubby is just a co-star in this witch's search for fame.

And these pair deserve everything that will happen to them.

Add a toxic female in the familial mix and it will crush once solid sibling ties.

Happened to a very good friend of mine.

I am in a potentially "similar" situation as "Harry" within my own "Family" network - maybe, because I married outside of my own "Race". I hope my future Generations (should there be any), will look back, and decide for themselves whether my choice was good or bad, but regardless of that, I know and feel I made the right decision at present, with my heart.

As for Harry's choice of Wife, please, hold off on your criticism - though if she elects to divorce him, then... if without reason, she's game for such. I really hate these Rich money grabbing marriage arrangements.... it defeats the meaning of "marriage", and he "Kids" somewhat suffer... Marriage is meant to be what it is... that said, I have to bear in mind what his Father did.. or was subjected to... everyone within their Family has hurt.

She was obsessed to be a 'princess' back when she was a little girl. She acts a lot like Katie Holmes, Jerry Hall and even Heather Mills. Gold-digger but she's finding out that selling out like this isn't so glamorous after all. Wah. Nobody likes a sell-out.

Mine too. I did get a black Swiss Army knife for being best man but he (and his siblings too) joined the toxic VIXEN's cult and my friend devolved into a dogma-programmed droid. On the positive side, I lost that knife thru a hole in my jeans pocket, so I got a RED Swiss Army knife to replace. Bye-bye to a reminder of a bad memory. Good karma for me.

Absolutely racism is at the bottom of this.

Why is it racist to speculate about the hue of the offspring ? As a fellow ginger I would speculate hopefully that any of my offspring of mine or in the family be blessed with a more healthy complexion.

Why is it racist to speculate about the hue of the offspring ?

All families do it, it's the most natural thing in the world, even when there's only one 'race' involved. Will the new tiny have his dad's eyes, Uncle Jim's big ears, Aunty Ethel's pointy chin, his Gran's long legs.....

When you've got a mix of black, white, ginger and chinless wonders, of course you're going to speculate.

Making a mountain out of what isn't even a molehill.

(Hope the baby doesn't have a great big hairy mole on the end of his nose like Cousin Nathaniel...)
