Your quote of the quote simply underlines the fact of Trump's white supremacist bigotry.
*So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all)*
The country three of the four women originally come from is the U S of A.
A country that according to Trump has a government that is a complete and total catastrophe, possibly not even functional.
The alternative message is that some Americans are more American than others.
Whichever way you read it, Trump comes out of it stinking like the racist bigot he is.

Which mean they didn't vote for him which means he didn't get a majority of the vote...
Like, The Art of The Deal - Bankrupting Six Companies and Losing $1 Billion - by the Master Loser...
With six inch nails....
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.....
Right...
And this President knows cheeseburgers, and Big Macs, and Whoppers...
The author was actually being somewhat kind to Donnie - yet the truth here drives Trumpers to meltdown...good for them....

Somebody should tell Trump to go back to where he came from. Oh, I forgot, neither Scotland nor Germany have any interest in or love for this man-child.

He actually said
So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe
And
Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.
That was aimed at them. As Americans, 3 born and 1 naturalized.
They don't hate everything about America. In fact, they have criticized the appalling treatment of people being caged. Any American with morals should be outraged about these camps.
It is totally American and patriotic to question your government. Your government serves you, not the other way round.
It is not the American way to demonize those who speak out against injustice.
It is not the American way to use racist tropes and dog whistles against your political oppponents.
At least, I hope it isn't.

His recent selling out of the Hongkong people's struggle for democracy and independence from Chinese communist rule for possible additional trade war benefits is quite obnoxious (but this is not to condone past US presidents for allowing the huge trade imbalance to grow in china's favor with impunity for three decades!)

The Nazis loved the conspiracy theories spread about Jews.
A biased media along with conspiracy theory crackpots is a dangerous mix.

Be wary of the Trump supporters and their gaslighting - all trying to get you to doubt the evidence of your own eyes. Trying to fool you is part of their assault on our freedom.

Calling Trump disruptive is like calling Al Capone ethically challenged. It is true as far as it goes, but leaves out so much of the truth.

Excellent article.
Not just that shameful episode but it has echoes of Europe's darkest days and the situation with China locking up Uighur people and separating whole families.
History will not judge well the likes of Xi and Trump.

He nailed it...

Trumpet logic: You listened to what Trump said instead of how we want you to interpret his words, and therefore you didn't hear correctly.
These people aren't very good with logic...
Toasted Heretic
It was a comparison.
In much the same way as the author's comparison to internment of American citizens in WW2.
Which also has nothing to with Trump, apart from learning (or not learning) lessons from history by drawing parallels.

The farcical current occupant of the White House is one of a king ... thank goodness.

Correction: “is one of a kind”.

xin xin: "His recent selling out of the Hongkong people's struggle for democracy and independence from Chinese communist rule"
What has this to do with the article or Trump?
Toasted Heretic: "the situation with China locking up Uighur people"
What has this got to do with Trump?
Trump made it clear during his campaigning what sort of president he was going to be and many still voted for him. Trump is mentally ill and is a reflection of the citizens that voted for him.

Sorry, but considering that Trump inherited a very strong economy and has continued to increase the yearly debt to the tune of now trillion dollar plus yearly deficits, any 'conservative' or Republican who wants to support Trump over the Democrats for budgetary reasons is just deluding themselves.

The early migrants didn't so much mix freely with the native population as drastically reduce their numbers through warfare, enslavement and the spread of disease.
We all know about the slaves who were brought over from Africa - certainly no better life and no mixing freely for them.
In the 18th century, around 60,000 British convicts were transported to the colonies. Hard to imagine the landed elite and slave-owners mixing freely with convicts (even if their only 'crime' was being poor and unemployed).

No, he got 46% of the vote cast. 95 million voters stayed home
Like I said he got 46% of the popular vote. Can't help the 95 million who didn't bother to vote.
the racist vestige known as the electoral college.
Read a history book, for chrissakes.
He nailed it...
He didn't nail anything.
The Statue of Liberty is our national symbol, our historical identity. Inscribed on the statue are the words: "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free."
He forgot to mention that was before we had a $20 trillion debt, thanks mainly to Bush 2 and Obama.
Through words and deeds, Trump has shown himself to be a self-centered, divisive force.
Wrong.
a president who will go down in history as a divisive and mendacious demagogue.
Wrong. This guy probably thinks he took out Trump with that nonsense. In fact, he couldn't take out a cheeseburger from a drive-thru.

This opinion article boils down to one very overused word: racism.
Can’t you come up with something original, Dan? And, by the way, you should have held on to your victim card - being a Japanese-American born in an internment camp - a bit longer then slammed it down on the table: “Take that, you white supremacists!”
Andrew Crisp
Obviously the author didn't hear what Trump said correctly or didn't want to - summed up what Trump said about these four Congress women is simple, since they hate everything about America they should go back to where they or their immediate ancestors came from to see how bad those Countries are, people in the past migrated to America for a better life because of all the opportunities the Country had to offer and they mixed freely.

Yeah well the MSM repeating this lie and loudly works. It worked for Hitler.
And there’s more. How about this doozy....
Goebbels would be proud.

This fake quote really undermines the article and should have been caught by an editor before ever being published. For the record what Trump actually said was:

Donald Trump: a disruptive president
Well, that's just like, your opinion, Daniel. My opinion is he's the best president we've ever had.
He caters to a disgruntled base of 35-40 percent of the U.S. population.
Pffft! He got 46% of the popular vote, including nutty California, as opposed to Hillary's 48%. He'll get over 50% in 2020.
Excellent article.
Actually it sucks.
History will not judge well the likes of Xi and Trump.
You're probably right about Xi. Wrong on Trump though.
