Stand your ground Ms Osaka. Who knows what all she's going through and what sh's been through. Good on her for raising mental health issues.

I don't think she has the mental strength to be a champion. She's too flakey.

Media 'voyeurism ?

Naomi got you all game set and match

Don't be taken fools, or the difference between $15,000 or $50 odd million.
We, you cant walk away from livelihoods,
The bread and butter English meaning.
Your are being for long ride,
Naomi is cool OK,
But also media savvy and clever.

I believe she will be mentally ok if everyone backs off the girl and give her some space. Give her time to be herself and she’ll be fine, but putting pressure and basically harassing the girl like will definitely give her a mental breakdown at some point.

When a person who knows they have mental illness tells you they need a break that right there should tell you something, and that is they are ASKING for time off!! Give them the space they need if not they will crumble.

Osaka didn’t “ask” for time off. She took it. That is a privilege that people have when they are filthy rich. She already has a level of wealth she doesn’t have to work another day in her life and would still live more comfortably and securely than 99% of the world’s population. Osaka chose to pursue professional tennis for the riches, fame, and influence that comes along with it. But as we all know, being rich won’t make you happy and it is sad that she is having mental health problems. But if those problems are all due to her involvement in professional tennis - she has the ability to make all of those problems go away instantly. She can just quit and find a new more suitable occupation to pass the time and give her personal fulfillment. No one is forcing her to play a game.

No, just a bunch of entitled human beings who act like they own her, whining and prioritizing their entitlement of seeing her play, over her mental health.

I don't like her at all, and her attitude usually repels me completely but if by her actions more attention is brought to the people in sports that are actually in serious mental problems (and not just depressed for winning millions), that is still a plus on my part.
