And, of course, there was the Jan 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, where supporters of a defeated Republican president, acting on a widespread lie he perpetuated, violently attempted to prevent the certification of electoral votes.

Which followed up the Summer of 2020 rioting and looting across America by extreme leftists, whose violence left hundreds of Americans injured or dead, and destroyed millions of dollars of private property.

Until the late 1980s, the Federal Communications Commission’s Fairness Doctrine required traditional licensed broadcasters to offer competing viewpoints on controversial public issues. But these rules did not apply to cable or satellite providers. As a result, the rise of cable news channels in the 1990s led to highly partisan programming that helped divide American society in the ensuing decades.

Talked about this before and of course Trump and right love Iran Contra, taxing social security Reagan.

This decision led to people being propagandized to vote against their own economic interests in favor of right-wing red meat.

It's kinda sad to see the death spiral of the US but it's hard to see what good the country has done in at least the last 30 years so I suppose it might not matter. In some ways the country is getting what it deserves due to its ultra-violent attitude and history. The chickens have come home to roost.

Certainly there are controversial left-leaning politicians, pundits, activists and talking points too.

But few – if any – openly disregard the fabric of American government, scheme to overturn democratic elections by force or plot to assassinate politicians.

By contrast, there are over 300 Republican election deniers running for office this year, including many incumbents – the vast majority of whom endorse political violence such as the Jan. 6 attack either by their actions or their silence.

BINGO! The far-right media hate and outrage machine - grifting the far-right flock of their money while inciting them to violence...

Then the craven Repub politicians jump in and raise the fever even higher - merely for votes...

And so the MAGA-faithful pick up their AR15s and plan to kidnap and murder the Michigan Governor, they put 140 Capitol police officers in the hospital and hunt down the VP with a noose, and take a hammer to an 82 year old senior citizen...and who knows what else they have planned...

Far-right domestic terrorism has replaced Islamic fundamentalist terror as our No. 1 threat...

Investigate, prosecute, and lock up these killers and murderers before their attempted overthrow of our democracy...

Trump is a root cause and still pushes his election fraud nonsense and gets people worked up at his rallies. The FBI claims the extreme right wing is the greatest threat to the country.

This incident is the latest in an increasing stream of extremist confrontations taking place across the United States in recent years. These incidents have primarily targeted Democrats.

It’s clear that the modern Republican Party is openly and successfully embracing and exploiting misinformation, outrage and attacks on democracy and the rule of law.

Standard left aligned narrative, the nightmarish multiple months of violent rioting.looting.arson in later half of 2020 have all been omitted, many incidents targeting republicans, have again been omitted, the information is mostly all controlled by left aligned so one wonders how is the republican party exploiting information. Many so many have left the democratic party, again no mention, warmonger types are in total control, again no mention.

Extreme violence is part of daily life. How many mass shooting this year?

As long as the culture prioritize above everything else personal freedom to the degree that considering other people's rights become a sign of weakness these kind of problems will continue.

A lot of people have now the idea that their rights are supreme and anything is justified to protect their preferred way of living, violence in many forms is just the easiest way to do this and in their eyes a natural consequence.

Quote from above: "Until the late 1980s, the Federal Communications Commission’s Fairness Doctrine required traditional licensed broadcasters to offer competing viewpoints on controversial public issues."

Note: The Fairness Doctrine was abolished under President Ronald Reagan. In that way the yahoos of the right-wing gave the U.S. Fox News.

Political violence from the right-wing is not new. The 60's was a blood decade of assassinations political left-wing leaders and civil rights activists.

Police murders of Native Americans, African Americans and Hispanic-Americans are ongoing. (The FBI warned over a decade ago that white bigots were infiltrating American police forces.)

The difference now is that the bigots now have a culture hero, Donald Trump, to egg on the violence. The spirit of Trump egged on the bigots in the right-wing violence in Charlottesville and again immediately after Trump lost to Biden. The bigots mourn the Trump lost clause in the presidential election as the bigots have mourned the lost cause of the Confederacy for other a century a half.

I fear another "lost cause" is instore for the U.S. if the Democrats succeed in the coming congressional election.

The US government is corrupt to the core, so of course when Trump promised to drain the swamp, the powers that be put all they had to go after Trump, and this includes the FBI.

No, they are just a threat to the corrupt swamp.

I would say if you look at all the states where Democrats have a strong hold in power is where you will find the highest crime rates in America. Democrats changed the dynamics and now the people who are democrats are voting republican because they did not see the crime wave coming along with homelessness, immigration issues, and mental illness. These states are where the people wanted no policing now they are getting knocked in the head and complaining for more police protections. I guess that is what it takes to get the message to them because its the crime and homelessness in their neighborhoods. It is the states where you have a party talking about just social justice but creating injustices and looking the other way at crime and immigration and wondering why their is homelessness. You can only fill a cup up with so much water before it runs over then there's the problems. Too many criminals let go on the streets, too much drugs which causes mental illness, and too much illegal immigration which only contributes to the homelessness because they take up all the social program money. Its not free!

Yup.

No, they are just a threat to the corrupt swamp.

Exactly! Spot on!

There is one party whos members and elected representatives openly advocate violence in pursuit of poltical goals: the GQP.

They are involved in the wholesale spread of outright lies like election fraud because they cannot, will not face that they lost a free and fair election. Because they cannot win when people vote, they attempt to suppress voting in areas that do not support their candidates and when that doesn't work, they start advocating violence.

It's that simple.

There is one party whos members and elected representatives openly advocate violence in pursuit of poltical goals: the GQP.

Antifa, protesters, many from BLM protesters calling for attacks on conservatives, shooting a congressman, plotting and going over to a Supreme Court Justice House and threatening to kill them, comedians holding up mock bloodied heads of the former President, not to mention many comments from liberal news pundits and even politicians

They are involved in the wholesale spread of outright lies like election fraud because they cannot, will not face that they lost a free and fair election.

Will the Dems accept defeat tomorrow? They didn’t accept the 2016 election, Stacy Abram’s doesn’t seem she accepts her loss

Because they cannot win when people vote,

And yet, that is exactly what they are doing, winning on issues the Dems never, ever want to talk about.

they attempt to suppress voting in areas that do not support their candidates and when that doesn't work, they start advocating violence.

If that were even remotely true then Obama would have never won the general election-twice. Why is it that Dems have voter ID? You need an ID for everything else in life, everything, but the left just won’t get onboard with a voter ID protects or election system, having an ID cuts down on fraud.

It's that simple.
