But it 2019 not 1969

A majority-black congressional district is in fact a "rat and rodent infested mess"

I don’t think that word means what you think it does.

Usually when you talk about rats and rodents, infested is a common word.

Infested is not the word I was referring to. 'Fact' was.

That is why many minorities don't feel a damn thing when you hear talk about the Founding Fathers. They were all morally corrupt.

Read the Smothers Brothers article. Times have changed drastically in just the last 50 years.

Trump is a blight across the country and the globe.

For the money and benefits which Presidents receive, there is no ethical excuse for racist comments.  The better Presidents refrained from making publicly racist comments.  Don't forget Barrack Obama, was a U. S President and of African American descent.

That doesn't change the fact that the current resident of the White House is the most racist President since our Civil War,

What tosh. Pick up a book, or just read the news to learn about how racist past presidents were. By any standard, Trump would be one of the least racist presidents since the Civil War, if only because times have changed.

Because other presidents were politically correct where as the Donald isn’t, doesn’t mean previous presidents were better. If Trump is liked in some quarters it’s precisely because he doesn’t hide his feelings. Imagine lady Hillary as POTUS, she’d be two-tongued all the way. That’s where she lost lots of points in many peoples minds.

don't know much about Baltimore, except that I have read and heard it called a dump many times over the years, and I never once heard that idea challenged, much less called racist (which would have been absurd). Trump says the same thing that many have said over the years, and suddenly he's a racist and the country is filled with Baltimore fans.

That is why many minorities don't feel a damn thing when you hear talk about the Founding Fathers. They were all morally corrupt.

There aren't many saints in the history books - probably none at all. Saints are mostly either obscure or killed. If you can't recognize the good that people have done because of judgments you pass on them by the moral standards of a world 200 years after their death, you are missing quite a lot.

No, you have missed the point. No one is talking about saints and that is just a typical copout answer to excuse someone's intolerance. The moral standard has never changed since he beginning of time. The same moral standard applied during Jesus Christ's time, during Confucius' time, and throughout time. To borrow from MLK, the time is always right to do what's right.

Racism is part of our history. That doesn't change the fact that the current resident of the White House is the most racist President since our Civil War, and is betting that the key to his re-election is to fan the flames of racial intolerance among his white base.

American Presidents making racist gestures? No, not in the beacon of democracy, never!

When U.S. President Donald Trump drew widespread condemnation for describing a majority-black congressional district as a "rat and rodent infested mess" and for tweets targeting four Democratic congresswomen of color, it was not the first time a U.S. president attracted such attention.

Widespread condemnation does not mean such comments are racist. It only means a lot of people are upset about the truth.

It’s really funny that in 2015 Sanders called Baltimore a dump essentially, no racist intent, Trump does it, it’s racist. The former mayor calls it a dump literally and nothing is said and I find it very problematic that liberals or even minorities will choose who they get to define as a racist for using the same language, that in itself is racist and fascist for pointing out what the obvious is and cities like Baltimore and Chicago are exactly how Trump described it. None of these liberals and Hollywood elite would ever think about living in that filth. You think Al Sharpton would move there? How about Van Jones or LeBron James? They all talk, point fingers, call people they don’t like racist without merit, but action? Trying to improve these cities? Nope.

As usual liberals are all talk, zero action, instead of attacking Trump, waste of time anyway and worrying about illegals, these politicians should worry about its own citizens. They should always come first and be the first priority over any illegal that comes in. Nothing racist about it.

From an uneducated country , what do anyone expect ???.It is time such very poor mentality ends. America is no more respected these days.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

since1981 Saying "if you don't like America, go back to your country." has nothing to do with race.

If you make those comments to leftist and on Japan Today expect to be down voted, makes no difference that they are factual or not, kind of a sign of pride really on Japan Today.

There's a famous study published that show's Baltimore as being in the top 10 of US cities with rat infestation.

How strange you should say that, I read one study saying Baltimore was number 3 in the World with rat infestation.

Not defending Trump but, since when is stating a fact racist? What he said is in fact true. A majority-black congressional district is in fact a "rat and rodent infested mess" (confirmed by a family member who lives in Maryland) AND "tweets targeting four Democratic congresswomen of color," is not about color. Their statements are expressions of hate. Saying "if you don't like America, go back to your country." has nothing to do with race. How about they stop complaining and start solving problems in America. If you don't like your area of living, you would move, correct?

Nothing he said was racist. All dem controlled cities on the east coast are a mess. Atlanta now has one of the highest HIV rates in the world, Baltimore is and has been a crumbling mess in many neighborhoods. These leaders dont have the IQ to form any sensible solution. Cortez has said many things about capitalism that makes me also question what her real agenda is. The reason for the white flight and thus tax money, has been because they are dem controlled.

the real people who suffer in all this are the African American, or if you dont prefer that Jesse Jackson inspired term, I will use Black, because they have to suffer under these morons and it becomes a system of just resignation or hopelessness, because nothing gets better. Trump is the answer to that.

Cummings' delusion was on display when he said the USA was the country to help other countries obtain diapers and tooth brushes--he conveniently ignored the large homeless population in the US that goes without these things.

Very true and I didnt hear anything during the Dem debates about the Veteran homeless problem that is rampant on the West coast. Instead, free medicare for immigrants, and a kind of wink towards allowing a joke of an amnesty program, if you dont qual for that, just sneak through and skip your hearing, then your all good for citizenship.

If you think what President Trump tweeted was "racist", you're the only one thinking about race.

American Presidents making racist gestures? No, not in the beacon of democracy, never!

Not only in America.

So if I tell an American in Japan who complains about Japan's crowded trains, high taxes, crowded roads, dirty city center, smokers on the streets, and so on, to go back to their home country if you don't like Japan, racist?
