but referring to Hollywood and government pedo rings in a sarcastic way as if they're conspiracies makes you part of the problem, virtue signaling author.

The subject richly deserves sarcasm because the premise is utterly ridiculous. It is a legitimate subject for JT because believe it or not there are QAnon followers and Trump supporters in Japan who peddle these lies.

If you want to learn about QAnon, you'll have to ask one of the die-hard Democrats and "progressives" here. They pretty much made the whole thing up. Like any crazy theory, there will always be some believers, but QAnon is not really a thing among libertarians and conservatives. It's 10% fringe followers and 90% posts by Soros and company to create the illusion that the group exists and must be squashed by removing free speech.

All of this is misinformation. Qanon is a legitimate domestic terror threat, supported by Trump fanatics.

Indeed, "GeOrGe SoRoS iS bEhInD eVeRyThInG" is Qanon gospel.

I must say, again, that I find it astonishing that this website will publish articles that are clear that removing Qanon devotees — who peddle lies about the 2020 election being fraudulent, that vaccines are a "deep state" plot to control people, that Jewish people are the cause of all the world's ills (why do people pick on Soros, when Elon Musk, a Trump supporter, is the wealthiest man in the world, and would therefore have the most influence?), and that there is a secret 'cabal' of literal Satan worshipping rapists — is a good thing, and yet actively encourage, protect and support people who articulate these exact views.

One poster even called Japanese Qanon cultists "very sensible people". And yet this advocacy of a terror threat is ignored and even condoned.

I strongly believe that Japan Today needs to review its moderation policies to be, in the first place, less arbitrary, and in the second, to prevent proliferators of dangerous misinformation turning a well-used and respected website into their soapbox.

A Trump-loving insurrectionist and a convicted stalker are among 36 QAnon supporters running for Congress in 2022

Don't forget Marjorie Taylor Greene is an elected GQP congresswoman, and is a staunch Qanon adherent.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Are you a supporter of Qanon and it's conspiracies?

I think this article makes it clear that, if someone believes that vaccines are dangerous, that Trump really won the 2020 election and it was stolen from him, and that the "MSM" is lying to you, they are a Qanoner, even if they say they aren't.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

No,

Qanon devotee confirmed. This article was very helpful.

heck I don’t know really anything about these people except that they drive the left insane.

You called them "very sensible people".

Ok, maybe they’re not part of the crazy fringel

That's right. Qanon conspiracy garbage has taken over the GOP, and its key beliefs, in Satan-worhipping rapists, in blood drinking celebrities, and in disproven lies like "Trump won the election" have all become the main pillars of the GOP. Sorry, GQP.

Yeah, you have that on the left as well, listen to AOC and the Squad and you’ll shake your head constantly.

I nod mine.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

No-one who believes in Qanon garbage, that the MSM is lying, that the 2020 election was really won by Trump, and that vaccines are dangerous, is sensible. They are whackjobs.

Just like Greene, who said that Pelosi should be executed for not supporting Trump's stupid wall.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Like Omar said with her some people did something on 9/11

Greene said that 9/11 was a false flag attack. You believe her?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

No, that’s in the public records and if they weren’t true, Omar would vehemently shoot the rumors down, I would in a second, but she didn’t because she can’t refute any of the claims

She has refuted it, and there are no public records saying that. You are repeating a racist lie.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Most conservatives I know don’t even know the first thing about who these people are and what they believe.

You called them "very sensible people".

3 ( +4 / -1 )

we should not sit there and pigeonhole every single person and to miss every QAnon as deranged, each person should be touched by the old mirror

Huh? What old mirror? What are you talking about?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

You like them???

No. You would know this, if you kept reading.

I also said some Dems are sensible

So? You said people who think Trump is a time-traveller who secretly arrested the Clintons but replaced them with body doubles are :very sensible people".

Like the socialists took over the Democratic Party.

The platform of the Democratic Party isn't "workers should own the means of production, reproduction, and distribution". I wish they were socialists. Alas.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Loosely tying these movements together is a general distrust of a powerful, often leftist elite. Among the purveyors of anti-vaccine falsehoods, adherents of Trump's “Big Lie” that the 2020 presidential election was stolen, and believers in just about any other worldview convinced that a shadowy cabal secretly controls things.

Where Facebook groups once openly referenced QAnon, you'll now see others like “Since you missed this in the so called MSM," a reference to the mainstream media

Subjects range from allegedly rampant crime to unfounded claims of widespread election fraud and an “outright war on conservatives."

I wonder if there are any other websites that allow and encourage this sort of disinformation. Hrm. A puzzler.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Ah, cool, a Qanon supporter. Good stuff.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

You called them "very sensible people".

I feel like that about some of liberals as well.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Tucker Carlson stands up for QAnon supporters.

Clarification, Tucker stands behind them in regards of that we should not sit there and pigeonhole every single person and to miss every QAnon as deranged, each person should be touched by the old mirror and that every person in this organization believes in the same state, they all have different ideas and different visions and different beliefs, but if the government and the media were not so awfully hostile to conservative and wouldn’t denounced them or cancel them or delete their post or not allow them to speak, then you would not have a need for a lot of conspiracy I guess to build up, as long as the left try to silence the right on any level, Conspiracists will continue to pop up and the more that happens the more they’re going to push back the more they push back things are going to get ugly, so the lift should be a lot more transparent and upfront with everything that they do.

A Trump-loving insurrectionist and a convicted stalker are among 36 QAnon supporters running for Congress in 2022

A trespasser and a stalker are a threat now to our democracy, if that’s the case a lot of Dems should be behind bars.

No hard evidence has ever surfaced to prove that Omar's ex-husband Ahmed Nur Said Elmi is her brother

She’s not refuting it, she’s not trying to even talk about or sit anything straight, that’s telling right there, any normal person that believes her reputation is being tarnished for whatever reason it’s going to go out and stand in faith, Roger stone did it, Michael Flynn did it, Omar is not, I wonder why? And the same goes with Qanon. You cannot sit there and label every conservative that doesn’t believe in the liberal orthodoxy is a member of them, you can say whatever you want all day long, it doesn’t make it true

Still believed by more than 50% of the GOP and it's supporters.

Really? I don't know anything about this. Please tell me more.

zichiToday  12:26 pm JST

Easy. It's called Google it.

You seem to know about QAnon. This is something of which you do not have knowledge?

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Still believed by more than 50% of the GOP and it's supporters.

Yeah? According to whom? Which media outlet alleged that?

You seem to know about QAnon. This is something of which you do not have knowledge?

Most conservatives I know don’t even know the first thing about who these people are and what they believe. The DOJ still hasn’t told us who’s their leader or what is their exact MO and not just liberal hyperbole guesses.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Are you a supporter of Qanon and it's conspiracies?

No, heck I don’t know really anything about these people except that they drive the left insane.

How about Majorie Taylor Green or Trump's ex-lawyer Sidney Powell.

on some things….

This past weekend, two promoters of QAnon conspiracy theories were given press credentials to Donald Trump’s MAGA rally in Sarasota, Fla.

Ok, maybe they’re not part of the crazy fringel

Far-right conspiracy theories flourished elsewhere at CPAC, where QAnon merchandise was ever-present and one attendee handed out cards, first obtained by Forbes, laying out a bizarre plan to “restore Donald J. Trump in days, not years.”

Yeah, you have that on the left as well, listen to AOC and the Squad and you’ll shake your head constantly.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

No-one who believes in Qanon garbage, that the MSM is lying, that the 2020 election was really won by Trump, and that vaccines are dangerous, is sensible. They are whackjobs.

Ok, people can believe what they want, that goes for both sides

Just like Greene, who said that Pelosi should be executed for not supporting Trump's stupid wall

Like Omar said with her some people did something on 9/11

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

That is another disgusting Qanon lie.

No, that’s in the public records and if they weren’t true, Omar would vehemently shoot the rumors down, I would in a second, but she didn’t because she can’t refute any of the claims

The topic is Qanon and not all your sidetracks.

I’m always focused, don’t deflect. Make this group your main focus. You both are labeling an entire group, I don’t care, I think it’s just kind of odd that the more you guys on the left continue to push and push and push the better it is for the Republicans in the House and even the Senate prospects continue to climb, so continue….

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

She has refuted it, and there are no public records saying that

Oh, yes there are. The left media didn’t grill her, they just said, ok.

If you’re in any shape or form connected to this QAnon you will be raked over the coals and when you go on any liver program, you’ll be forced and pushed to answer any question and you are not given any process whatsoever you are pigeonholed and labeled as part of a fringe group, but liberals get a pass on everything.

You are repeating a racist lie.

Sigh, race has nothing to do with it, do better.

.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Wow, I didn't realise my JT posts had such power to influence anyone

What? Lol

but then I try not to overestimate my value. The more you guys on the left........

They’re going away whoever these people are, just like with the tea party. You guys did the same thing and dismissed him, over and over again and the Democrats didn’t listen to the people, they left people out of the system what did they do they ended up losing the house and then finally the Senate and then the presidency and it’s déjà vu and they’re starting to make the exact same mistake again.

"Here's everything we know about the persistent but unproven rumors that Rep. Ilhan Omar married her brother, which Trump repeated at a recent rally"

Well, the liberal media wasn’t going to touch it.

This is supposed to be a website to promote Japan, not anti-Trump propaganda, but here we are. I'm neutral towards the politician, but referring to Hollywood and government pedo rings in a sarcastic way as if they're conspiracies makes you part of the problem, virtue signaling author.
