The economy is booming and unemployment is at historic lows. This is a moot question that will have no bearing on the next election.

Republicans no longer have any credibility.

Republicans no longer have any credibility.
I'll give that some Republicans no longer have any credibility. But it's the vast majority of the looney Democrats who no longer have any credibility. Their 2020 agenda is basically take down bad orange man. The majority of the Democrats running for president support AOC's looney Green New Deal.
As flawed as the Republicans are, it's gonna be necessary for them to take back the House, and keep the Democrats from taking back the White House and the Senate or we will lose our country.

I’ll give the Republicans credit. They are great at holding a straight face while making ridiculous claims about the Democrats on things the Republicans are the guilty party.
Unfortunately America has a huge number of deplorables willing to twist reality to ensure Trump maintains dictatorship.

The democrats call themselves socialist, Republicans are not just fabricating a lie here or cherry-picking. The democrats proudly claim to be or follow socialism. Bernie sanders named himself a democrat socialist and 30% of democrats voted for him. Even the new ones like, AOC claim to proudly be socialist. So tp answer the question in the article, yeah most people will believe it because democrats have self identified as socialist

Actually, no Democrats identify as Socialist. Some like Bernie and AOC identify as democratic socialist, which is completely different.
However, I think the average citizen is too confused to understand the difference and hence, I would avoid using the term.
The vast majority of Americans agree with the reality of democratic socialist ideas like Medicare for all, subsidized tertiary education and taxing the ultra-rich.
Which is exactly why the right are deliberately trying to label the Dems as socialist (rather than democratic socialist) and bandy around the toxic word that basically has no meaning.
