The "fumbled response" in the ME was the Obama administration. They were incompetent regarding security for the Ambassador, and he was murdered as a result. Further, they tried to cover up their incompetence by blaming 'spontaneous demonstrations' for the attack on the consulate.

The debates will be crucial. When Americans see the two candidates side by side, they will be able to make a more clear and informed decision.

Not to mention the VP debates. I fear that VP Biden will be scorched repeatedly. He is acknowledged by both sides as, how shall I say, not one of the brightest intellects in the Senate. He is glib, but often wildly inaccurate. A wonky guy like Paul Ryan will make mincemeat of him. Not to mention the obvious contrast that will be seen between the youthful, vigorous Ryan and the VP, who looks all of his 65 plus years.

umh, yea, obama has been running the economy, just like he singlehandedly cleaned out the mexican gulf and freed the people of afghanistan at the same time before breakfast. An american president is like a figurehead, a front face, a beach head so to speak. The front soldier who gets the blame if stuff goes wrong. He doesn't have all that much power by himself as they would have you think in hollywood. He probably has veto-rights or last decision but he does not make or write laws. He does not run economies and he does not just send the whole u.s. army across the world by himself. Neither obama, nor Romney, nor Clinton, nor Bush (even if we could all agree bush definitely looked like a posessed android under the influence of aliens)

Obama has been running on a bad economy. If Romney has so far not been inept, he should have been in the lead by now.

Obamamittes blame Romney for "a fumbled response to unrest in the Middle East," when, as president, it is actually Obama that fumbled. Anyone still can tell that there are 47% of the people who wouldn't vote Romney, Palin, heck, they wouldn't vote for a reincarnation of George Washington himself if he were on the GOP ticket; they are the 47% that Romney accurately said are beyond logic, reason or reach. They vote party, and today their party in Obama inspite of what he has is and will do. All the facts in the world would make them change. You know it, I know it, and Romney sure as heck knows it. He even said it. He anticipates it, and anticipation denotes intelligence. "It's the kind of thing you'd expect Republican strategists to say," is not a particularly enlightening thing to say.

"Romney just came out of one of the worst months in presidential politics in recent memory, and he's hanging right in there... If I was one of Obama's guys in Chicago, I'd be thinking: 'What does it take to get rid of this guy?' He won't go away."

Obama must really be a rotten president to be in this situation.

I notice that you didn't mention who that quote came from. It's the kind of thing you'd expect Republican strategists to say, so it's not particularly enlightening.
