A red-state America would be an economic disaster after 20 years and be begging to be bailed out by the blue-state America. As it is, all the economic power is based in blue areas and red areas are like banana republics, selling natural resources for income.

Work on fixing the problem y’all, not running from it. Do you even want it fixed though, or is it that YOU and your team personally just wanna be right, and anyone that doesn’t agree with you, the dreaded OTHER, 100% wrong and evil? That’s the underlying question and the sickness at the heart of the deep divisions in your nation.

Although the forecasts, demographics and economy projections are actually quite positive for the United ( ?) states, politically and socially you serve as an extreme warning ( to both your aliies and foes alike ) as to how bad things can get when infighting becomes so systematic and entrenched. Maybe it’s the culture, the education system, something in the water, who knows? Would love to things improve, your supporters all would!

I say let them secede. The blue states could join Canada and the red ones can form their own confederacy. Let them have their confederate flag and everything. If The blue states joined Canada they would create a country more powerful than the US is today since just as Moonraker said  all the economic power is based in blue. So let them secede.

screw them.

Making people angry against each other has always been an easy way to make people vote, so the "enemies" can be defeated, but this has a huge political cost, the politics in the US have abused this easy and cheap way to manipulate the people, and from now they are going to have a lot of trouble paying the costs, all the benefit of the actual competitors and enemies of the country that will obviously benefit from a weakened US too busy fighting with itself.

Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican from Georgia, wants a “national divorce.” In her view, another Civil War is inevitable unless red and blue states form separate countries.

She has plenty of company on the right, where a host of others – 52% of Trump voters, Donald Trump himself and prominent Texas Republicans – have endorsed various forms of secession in recent years.

These far-right radical kooks are just working as Putrin and Xi's Fifth Column to tear America apart...

That's the No. 1 goal of Russia and China today - a divided, weak America - no longer the leader of the free world able to challenge and checkmate their aggression.

Wearing a red MAGA hat means the same thing as wearing the Russian and Chinese national flag...

Jeff Bezos paid no federal income taxes in 2011. Elon Musk paid almost none in 2018. Tales of wealthy individuals avoiding taxes are as common as stories of rich Americans buying their way out of jail.

here is the real secession and creating division is in oligarch interests East and West.

Corporations push for deregulation, pushing the tax burden on worker.

Using useful demagogues like Greene and culture wars also serve those interests and is part of the decades long neo-con push for "smaller government".

Whilst personally not caring if another civil war broke out in America, solutions might be to do away with State Governments or at least reduce their authority, and improve the tax laws and the power of the federal authority to enforce them so that tax evasion is minimised. Can't see the vociferous Right coming to terms with that though.

So this is how we play? You get to have your say if it suits one political agenda.

Not cool.

Divide you fall.

Can we put all the evangelicals in the red states? That might work...

We’ll think of it this way, with all the Dem run urban areas rotting from the inside out, there Will certainly be a lot of natural sets for new movies: Escape from Baltimore, Escape from Detroit, Escape from Chicago, Escape from Portland (west coast one), Escape from pick any Dem run city.

invalid CSRF

I’m all for it.

whoever wants these nonsensical policies can go live in a place that has those and leave the rest of us normal people alone.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene, is not right in the head. Believes the election was stolen.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

deeply divided rotten society, with nothing in common except money and greed, nothing else.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

The country with the greatest division between the rich and the poor.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Ignore MTG and AOC. Siamese twins.

Secession is just another fantasy. A campaign fund raising con.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

leave the rest of us normal people alone.

lol normal people who deny losing elections they clearly lost.

Most people don't agree with you on just about every policy position you have.

If secession did happen, the rightwing secessionist states would be virtually indistinguishable from the Taliban led Al Qaeda in just a decade or two.

A red-state America would be an economic disaster

We are already in an economic disaster and it's getting worse, not better

after 20 years and begging to be bailed out by blue-state America.

And this is the problem, the majority of people that did vote did not for conservatives, this is the reason why, the Dems should all give them whatever health is required

As it is, all the economic power is based in blue areas and red areas are like banana republics, selling natural resources for income.

They'd be a fanatical 'Christian Iran'. And the issue of secession was settled by a Constitutional Amendment LONG ago. Those Confederate LOSERS were mostly a bunch of scummy racists who wanted an elitist class of lazy plantation owners with Black American slaves working for their 'Greater Glory'. It's a disgusting UnAmerican fantasy and sad to say there's still some people in America who never matured beyond those days.

Those sentiments were unleashed by the Mussolini traitor in 2016 and 2020 revealed that most Americans have outgrown that crap.

Actually it is South Africa.

Yes and I (and Trump people) choose to live in Japan with no guns, all government healthcare, and the best mass transit. Then the Trump people in Japan slam the Dems for too much of that in the USA but continue to live in Japan but never complain about it - in fact they like it.

But biggest economic cities are mostly run by the Dems, but Tucker and other Trump people feel bitter and jealous about this and they say things about these Dem economic powerhouses that are not true or don't make sense.

Tesla and Oracle are in Texas but exist in a Dem city but Trump people won't admit this.

Smart centers of the USA are Dem controlled mostly but Trump people will never admit to that.

America is very united. We debate everything. Japan, not so much.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Those Confederate LOSERS were mostly a bunch of scummy racists who wanted an elitist class of lazy plantation owners with Black American slaves working for their 'Greater Glory'.

The North wasn't that much better. Although slavery was abolished, there wasn't a downtown celebration for most freed blacks, many did welcome them and many more didn't, and the same goes for the South, there were many Southerners that risked their lives to help free blacks. So it's not a one-sided issue when it comes to that war, it was very multi-faceted.

It's a disgusting UnAmerican fantasy and sad to say there's still some people in America who never matured beyond those days.

I agree.

There were no Mussolini traitors in 2016-2020 Only the George Patton American patriots during that time.

The Klu Klux Klan Act of 1871 was written to especially prosecute American, who wanted to be seditious conspirators, and it will be used against American again criminally and civilly if you get out of line Google Klu Klux Klan Act of 1871
