If we fix our broken elections systems to allow third parties, that would solve most of the problem.

Maybe, but term limits definitely would greatly reduce the corruption on both sides of the political aisle

Term limits aren’t the answer to dysfunction in U.S. Congress

The answer as Bernie Sanders has said again and again is getting the corporate money and influence out of Congress.

The Citizens United decision metastasized the cancer.

Funny coming from this guy who greatly benefited from Capitalism, but to a certain extent he is not entirely wrong about congress.

The Citizens United decision metastasized the cancer.

Hmmm…

The republicans have only passed one bill through the house in this past year, and that was for some medal. Other than that, nothing, I think most people are saying that this last year has been the worst in USA history in the house. Well done republicans, they really know how to rule.

It is very hard when you are dealing with a Democrat Senate that will basically vote against anything you bring forth, second, not all of the Republicans think as a single monolith, it is good to have restraint and vote cautiously, and not just to pass a bill in order to push a political agenda.

It hasn't been easy, neither is making sausage.

Well done republicans, they really know how to rule

Compared to the Democrats who think money just easily comes and grows on trees, it is very refreshing to see not pass bills just for the sake of spending our tax dollars frivolously.

There should be an age limit for the president and members of Congress at the beginning of their terms, set at 70 years.

You only get the bills you work for in a bipartisan manner. How's the bipartisanship looking in MAGA world?

True.

How's the bipartisanship looking in MAGA world?

So let’s see, you have the establishment Republicans that want to cave and give money to the Dems for anything other than to the nation and fund other nations, the. You have the outnumbered MAGA conservatives that want to put the country first, I would say contentious and definitely not working on the same page, but at least their speaker is not using fascist tactics to threaten them in upcoming primaries of withholding campaign funds and contributions.

Again, sausage making is ugly, but at least it’s done under a dictatorship and are allowed free will. Jugulars still intact.

Democratic representatives wouldn't be able to block you at every turn if they were somehow being intimidated by Nancy Pelosi.

Pelosi never allowed for dissent that’s just an indisputable fact. One party, one voice and that’s it or reap the consequences. So we really don’t necessarily know if the Dems would break rank on anything because they are not allowed to break ranks. That in itself is a serious abuse and dysfunctional.

Why not try term limits - say for a decade - see what happens - I think it would be great - it's supposed to be a government for the people and by the people...involve more of the people...I think term limits are a great idea

Indisputable? A debateable opinion at best.

Whereas the Republican Party is now enthralled in a cult of personality around a single, deranged man, whose anger will directly threaten the career of anyone who crosses him, and indirectly, their lives. As such, all kowtow to him and display subservience, even though most GOP representatives despise him and think he's an idiot.
