And a 'country' committing genocide in western Asia is allowed to compete? Most of their athletes are bragging about their achievements in their army.

Hopefully they aren't caught cheating like all the Russians in the Sochi and Rio Olympics.

That's the only reason I would see them being in the spotlight.

These have been the best Olympic games since Sydney in 2000. The French public have been outstanding and as always the volunteers from all nations helping out at these games, are indispensable.

Paris is so beautiful and I have been very impressed with every aspect. Well done France!!

Only down sides were cardboard beds and the Seine not quite clean enough.
