There will not be normalization with Europe so might as well crack that egg and make that omelet.

The EU has already announced that it will not be stealing the money so this story seems a bit late

All of this strikes me as virtue signalling and they will not seize the money.

The most important thing is for money to continue flowing into the Western financial system. It doesn't matter where it comes from. Sanctions etc. are for little people.

Give it to Ukraine for rebuilding costs.

For now, the assets are still on ice, with opponents of seizure warning that the move could violate international law and destabilize financial markets.

Wow I wonder if Russia has done anything that violates international law and destabilized financial markets.

That $300 Billion absolutely should be used to help rebuild Ukraine. The hospitals, schools, energy plants, homes and apartments that Russia has bombed mercilessly.

Not one cent should ever return to Russians.

That money constitutes sovereign state assets of Russia. It has to be given back - including the misappropriated interest (with interest on top). Failure to do so will hurt EU economies, markets and institutions more.

Also, stealing it is a flagrant violation of international law.

Also, stealing it is a flagrant violation of international law.

Fairly certain stealing land until the sun explodes is a bigger violation.

Since the Putin invasion of Ukraine Russia has broken many international laws and Putin has been charged by ICC for some of them.

Also, stealing it is a flagrant violation of international law.

Good to know you care about international law.

Is it now!

Haha!

You broke it, you have to pay for it.

Gobsmacking lack of self awareness

No land was stolen.

This concerns the larceny of hundreds of billions, which didn't enjoy a referendum like there or Kosovo.

No land was stolen.

No money was stolen.

Geez, this hard coping thing is quite easy on the internet.

Give the money to Ukraine to help them rebuild from the Russian invasion.

Give the money to Ukraine to help them rebuild from the Russian invasion.

That is an actual possibility and contingency plan if all negotiations do not go Trump's way with Putin

No land was stolen.

It's all on the table for peace negotiations, hopefully Peace is formalized soon as Ukraine's failing on all fronts, losing day by day its $foreign support, and thus needs to avoid becoming a failed state.

There's no country where voters are favorably trending towards Ukraine support, just the opposite, as World needs Peace to normalize inflation and economic growth

All EU leaders except Orban backed the statement supporting Ukraine.

The EU’s 27 leaders met today for an extraordinary summit to discuss further support for Ukraine and European defense. The summit comes at a crucial moment for Europe – when the entire post-1945 security architecture that has depended on U.S. support could be at risk.

I think that would be much better and I sincerely hope they can make that happen, the EU should do more, take over and be the lead as much as they can and we can take a back seat and help if asked or needed, that’s how it is supposed to be.

They are asking for missile defense and intelligence which Europe doesn't have the infrastructure to provide. The response from the Surrender Trump administration has been laughter.

Trump is going to need to do a lot more than offer other people's money if he doesn't want a huge stain on his record.
