Trump critics fear indictment will boost reelection bid

Yeah, I think after so many years and investigations from a slew of prosecutors that have gone back and forth on these charges, it doesn’t seem much other than misdemeanor trying to get bumped up to a felony, if they had something serious on Trump they would have arrested him a long, long time ago. 50% of drunk driving charges are dropped, 45% of physical assaults are dropped, more than a 1./3 of murderers either are released early and or get house arrest, real crimes, it just gives validity that Bragg looks more like apolitical hack.

Trump's indictment papers are sealed. We don't know what the charges will be been. It is believed some are federal charges which are not misdemeanors.

Bragg was involved in over 100 indictments just the same as Trump's since '22. Trump is simply one more piece of meat to prosecute for tax fraud and the name Trump does not mean anything to him (and the grand jury). Trump people refuse to look at the facts of the case and just focus on Hillary and her 300,000 emails. A bunch of cry babies and life is just not fair.

If he did, but being a misdemeanor and when you add 87% of NYC didn’t vote for him, his long feud with Nadler and see what he’s been trying do for almost 30 years, Bragg won’t arrest criminals in his city things look a bit more sneaky and malicious.

You can't pay off a hooker then write it off as a legal/tax expense. Bragg did over 100 of these since 2022 and Trump is not special regarding this case.
Trump people NEVER address the facts of the case. They just say Hillary/Hunter/Liberals/Soros. That's not helping Trump. And it was not Bragg. It was the grand jury. Edwards got busted out. But he was a good client, listened to his lawyers and got off. Trump's mouth is doing him more harm than good since the court is NOT FOX/Tucker show.

I think this definitely boosts Trump's chance at winning the GOP leadership.
That's a good thing, as he lost last time by a landslide, and has not only done nothing to increase his popularity, he held an insurrection which decreased it. And this time, he won't even be in a position of leadership to be able to try to steal it.

Who is "we"- a grand jury or Tucker? A grand jury doesn't care what Tucker thinks. Trump seems to be going down not because of what the Clinton News Network says. But what a grand jury says. This is (possible) conviction number 118 for Bragg for this type of crime and considering the first 117, what makes Trump special? The grand jury is following the facts of the case (the evidence) and not CNN.
Fine! Give it to a grand jury. Hunter is not protected by the presidency like Joe is. See what the grand jury says about Hunter. Bust him if he committed a crime.

The irony is:
1) Trump's former lawyer has already went to prison for his involvement in this crime.
2) Trump, the most boastful person in the US, got prosecuted by a lawyer named "Bragg".
3) Trump, who is notorious for not paying his debts for decades, is finally getting indicted for paying a pornstar hush money and lying about it on his taxes!
Let's not forget that there are also investigations about his involvement in Jan 6, the attempt to overturn Biden's victory in Georgia, and the theft of classified documents from the US government.
The only people who want Trump re-elected are the people who want the US to fail while satisfying their own greed.
