I am American. Neoliberalism is the dominant ideology in most developed countries, so it's not surprising that it is followed (to various degrees) by liberals and conservatives, but it's important to call it by what it is.

He is the archetype of a swamp dwelling neoliberal.

In the US what you call a "neoliberal" is called a conservative or even arch conservative. Liberals in US parlance are on the left of the political spectrum, closer in spirit to what Europeans call Social Democrats though not nearly as far to the left policywise.

...and quite rightly so. Trump was elected because he was not part of the neocon-neolib cabal. Seeing him hobnobbing with these swamp creatures would be a big disappointment for his supporters. (It would rile up the Trump haters though, which would be mildly entertaining.)

Donald Trump has boasted about how close he was with the Clintons, and is a close personal friend of Jeffrey Epstein. He supported the Iraq War, and reduced taxes on the wealthiest as he cut safety nets for the most vulnerable in the country. He is the archetype of a swamp dwelling neoliberal.

Donald Trump has always been a deeply insecure social outcast.

To be fair, Trump is the ONLY president who made progress in the Middle East, recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel...

What's that actually achieved?

....and he probably was on the cusp of recognizing Taiwan as an independent country.

Doubt it. In spite of the Twitter trash talk he was too much of a wuss to really annoy the Chinese.

Seeing him hobnob with foreign despots like Putin and Kim Jong-Un is okay though? Getting saved from an impeachment trial conviction by obliging GOP swamp creatures like Mitch McConnell is okay too?

Trump is the ONLY president who...

...pushed injecting Mr Clean to treat Covid-19. Yes, what a great man!!!

Aly, you got something against orangutans?

Orangutans are smart.

You're right cleo. That was disrespectful to orangutans. I stand corrected.

Back on topic please.

GWB must be grateful; until Trump came along, Bush was generally seen as the worst of the modern presidents.

Hope they put up a picture of an orange in the gallery of the US presidents in the WH.

Or an Orangutan

1-term president, twice-impeached and twice lost the popular vote. Breaking so many records you're gonna get sick of it!

....because Trumps name generates clicks and Biden’s doesn’t

Why do we have to keep hearing about this failed specimen of a corrupt politician?

Be gone. Go away.
