Certainly twitter could begin a lawsuit that would last at least until ... say January 20th ... if the executive branch attempts any real interference.

And Trump can shut down Twitter, at least temporarily, if he chooses.

Talk about interference, Twitter, Facebook and Google's interference in our elections have made Russia's interference look like child's play.

Can't Twitter just close his stupid account that he has used to utterly disgrace the office of the Presidency?

I see the arrogance and fascist leanings of Twitter are spilling over here. Trust me - Twitter will lose this battle, as they deserve to. In another 10 years they will be like MySpace, abandoned for freer platforms that allow free speech and respect democracy.

Trump hasn't yet realized that removing Twitter's article 230 protections will require Twitter to censor his comments that go against their T&C, or they will be liable for his falsehoods.

Twitter will have to kick Trump off to protect themselves from that liability.

They should just do it now to troll him though.

Trump thinks that tweeting equals work. He often sends out over 100 a day, I believe his record is 142, or one every 10 minutes over a 24 hour period. How mental and insecure as a human do you have to be to do that?

He might actually do some work if twitter was removed from his little grubby hands. Either way, it would be incredibly funny if he woke up one morning and wasn't immediately and freely be able to lie to 80m people.

Realistically, this is government power being exerted towards the suppression of free speech of a private organization, on an issue that has already been contested and cleared. This goes nowhere.

This is a combination of two things:

1) Trump being annoyed that he was fact-checked, and wanting to do something so he looks tough

2) Trump needing a squirrel to call out to his dogs to detract from his plummeting ratings due to his poor response to the pandemic, even though the Obama administration left the country well prepared to deal with a pandemic.

He's freaking out. Not only was he slighted, he's losing anyone that isn't the furthest right of the alt-rights.

Twitter can do what it wants and then Trump can shut it down, that quick. Twitter is stupid if they think they can fight with the WH.

Twitter is just angry now that they have to level the playing field and that doesn’t sit well with them not one bit because now they can be sued, great.

They could have been sued before. This didn’t change anything.

Stop wasting time, trumpet. Go live on no mans land.

I’m sure he has violated enough policies to warrant it by his almost continual lying and calls for hatred or violence.

What calls for hatred or violence? Be specific. What, "When the looting starts the shooting starts"? That's a warning to looters and thugs, not a call for violence. It's meant to prevent violence. Get it straight.

Trump so far has stopped the radical left and the globalists' efforts to negate the 2016 election with Russiagate, Stormy, Omarosa, Ukrainegate, the corona lockdowns and now the riots, and destroy us via open borders, crashing the economy and making China invincible. It is amazing how strong he has been. This shows how much the globalists were in with the past few presidents, that they were never subjected to the levels of harassment that Trump is.
