When asked by a journalist if the United States was stealing Syrian oil, Hoffman replied: "The revenue from this is not going to the U.S. This is going to the SDF."

Forgot to mention that the SDF doesn't see any money, it goes directly into the hands of US arms suppliers to pay for the weapons the SDF is getting.

So in essence, money from stolen Syrian Oil fields is going directly to Lockheed and such.
