These practices are used by Western countries to deter future migration of mainly people of color... 

Whereas all the non-Western developed countries - Japan, Taiwan, S. Korea, Singapore, etc. -- don't let them in in the first place.

war refugee have right to ask for refugee asylum status in very next free and safe country,say if someone escaping from Libya can apply for asylum in Egypt/no war/Algeria/no war/Chad/no war/.There is no reason to risk sailing to Europe/Italy for example/as they will be safe.

in general say refugees from middle East can ask status of refugee in SaudArabia,UAE,Qatar,Bahrain,Kuwait,Jordan.There is no war.

countries are mainly islamic and have halal food so no issue abt religion and food as well.there is no war.for war refugee from middle east this is perfect solution.sure they can find work locally and start new life.

there is absolutely no reason to travel to Europe or say UK to feel safe.

if they still travel that far reason may be completely different.say going there to use social benefits of that country they have never lived or worked in.

abt UK situation they are just doing as same thing as say Australia do.moving refugees to Nauru for indefinite period.UK doing same "business" with Rwanda.

The vast majority of those coming ashore or being picked up at sea are "economic refugees" seeking a better chance in life and the chance to make some money. They know the UK is one of the best places they can achieve this. The problem is that many of the UK population does not want these newcomers so sending them to Rwanda is an effort to stop them coming. The so-called refugees know all the tricks, throw away your passport, say you are from a country you are not, claim you are 16 or 17 years old. If from a Muslim country tell the authorities you have converted to Christianity or are Gay. Anyone really in danger would welcome the safety offered in Rwanda by the UK government. But its not about safety.

Brazil has a giant territory and exporting people, refugees willing to work there with adequate international financing with proper planning would be a blessing for all.

That's why they head to the UK.
