It has been reported in the press that the car driver "wanted to kill as many people as possible". It is also reported that he was a refugee from Afganistan. Could it be that this is yet another attack on non-muslims ?

The guy was an Afghan Refugee wanting kill as many people as possible - I presume Westerners - because apparently the way Muslims are treated World Wide. This guy and his family were taken in by Australia given financial support at the taxpayers expense, then does this in a Country that has been so good to him and whats worse is the fact that the majority of the injured were Non Australians. If he genuinely was angry about how Muslims are treated why didn't he go to a African or Middle Eastern Country where Muslims are treated badly and perform this "act".

If you want to stop all deadly car rammings, don't let humans drive cars. Otherwise, there will always be exceptions and someone will be killed by grandma's foot slipping off the brake as she parks.

Accidental and malicious deaths will keep happening as long as humans drive.

In short, NOTHING. Lone wolf attacks are random acts of violence. Often perpetrated by loners so go under the radar.

And they wouldn't be wrong if they were to say that.

Yes they would be - cars do ram people. If they didn't, then we wouldn't even have the question asked by this thread.
