Biden these days is “speaking from his heart,” his aides have said repeatedly . . . he is reacting at times to what he sees on TV. He's not always to be taken literally.

I know that they have been clawing back a substantial number of gaffes lately. But they are now at the point where they are telling everyone that everything they will hear from now on isn't necessarily on the record?

I don't want a president who is emotional or speaks from the heart, I want someone who thinks from their mind and is carefully spoken. You can give a passionate speech that also has been thought out. Ultimately though, that is just window-dressing on policy decisions. You can give the best sound bites in the world, but it doesn't matter if you go back to the office to get back to some bombings.

For comparison, Obama was a great speaker, but we saw more drone strikes internationally under him than any republican president.

Three out of the past four presidents have been prone to staying really stupid stuff.

Oh for the good old days of Obama.

He said his share of stupid stuff, but most fanboys were too busy gooning and drooling over him to notice.

I don’t mind a President who speaks from the heart. Much like Trump, Biden is just blurting out whatever’s at the top of his head. Unfortunately, there’s not much there anymore and Trump was at least funny.

President Biden appears frail, with the weight of global political expectations on his shoulders.

'Uneasy is the head that wears a crown'

I don't think from memory any US President juggling so many economic, political challenges.

I think Joe Biden emotional response/retort to Putin's clear violations, yes genocide, is valid and justified.

I say with heartfelt sincerity, Joe Biden volunteered for the unthinkable in the twilight years of his life.

There will be a cost.

I'd rather have a leader who speaks from the heart instead of one who thinks only of his re-election (aka, Trudeau).

There is a time for both. This is not a normal time in history and the democracies of the world are now facing the very real possibility of a cruel, immoral dictator intent on conquest and willing to engage in any barbarity to do so, doing something so vile and outrageous that the democracies of the world will be forced to team together to stop him just as the democracies should have done in 1938 or 1939 to stop Hitler. In the instance cited in the article above I do not think what Mr. Biden said is out of line at all. Mr. Putin is clearly a war criminal and does indeed have to go, with that latter comment very obviously aimed at Mr. Putin's inner circle and the oligarchs who support him.

Then you really must be disappointed in Biden. Why is it that the US has to worry about what people outside of the country think, they can't vote in our elections anyway.

That's what the liberals want us to believe about the 2020 election.

President Biden got the most votes (81 million) of any U.S. President in American history; 11 million more votes than Obama in 2008. Only "a lying dog-faced pony soldier" would disagree that then-Vice President Biden's popularity with voters was instrumental in dragging his running mate across the finish line.

The Putin stooges can whine all they want, but Lunch Bucket Joe shoots from the shoulder and says what all of us pro-Ukrainian Americans think. It is so great to once again have an adult sitting behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.

I’ve always been critical of Trump and his supporters for failing to recognise the difference between public behaviour as a private individual on one hand and what’s expected of a President in the performance of his public duties in the other.

Then you really must be disappointed in Biden. Why is it that the US has to worry about what people outside of the country think, they can't vote in our elections anyway.

So what goes for Trump, goes for Biden. The world doesn’t need a loose mouth

I disagree, in our country we need a political disrupter, someone that takes on the establishment, and Trump did that, the establishment won't police itself or hold itself accountable. The problem with Biden is that he is cognitively compromised, just look at the last two weeks how quickly in mid-sentence and goes on bewildering rants. He is not almost at 34% approval and his numbers are getting worse with title 42 about to end soon, this will be the final nail that will put Biden in the ground if he does go through with this, he will be a political liability for the left for the next 2 years, they will lose the Senate and finally the Presidency. If Biden wants to save his party, he needs to pivot and fast to the center, time is running out.

Yeah Obama was probably the most carefully worded president in History. The man never said anything without thinking of ramifications. At least when Biden speaks his mind, what he says is more or less true unlike Trump.

While I was glad to see Trump out, the alternative was plain disastrous and we're seeing Biden stumbling about, fixated on Ukraine to the detriment of Americans back home. Inflation, crime, poverty, and the list goes on. Why is there always enough money for wars half way round the world but never enough for struggling Americans? His approval rating is going down the drains. The bird that dropped a bomb on Biden's shoulder near his American flag badge says everything about the situation.
