Serrano, in the US government one cannot qualify for a security clearance if they have any overseas property or bank accounts. That prohibition applies to property and bank accounts in friendly nations and allies as well, even Canada. Foreign national wives can make obtaining a security clearance very difficult. Their families abroad can be subject to harassment and arrest at home and that can become a means for a foreign power to coerce the family member in the US. One must report in detail all foreign contacts, family or non-family, in order to obtain and keep one's security clearance. Even family members with dual citizenship living in Canada are subject to reporting requirements. A relationship outside of one's marriage is enough to get one's security clearance pulled. Anything that can expose the member to foreign blackmail or coercion is a problem for one's security clearance. Yet the current US President violates basically all of this.

Someone is going to have to show us documented proof that Mr. Biden has any foreign bank accounts or received payments from foreign entities while Vice President for me to believe it. No one has so far so the claims to that effect are nothing but heresay and innuendo.

That's not what Nancy Pelosi says, she says Beijing wants Biden.

The caption below the AP photo of that mural of Xi and Trump doesn't say where it is, but guaranteed it's not in Beijing or anywhere in China. Would be interesting to see how fast it would be painted over if someone dared paint this mural in Beijing or anywhere in China.

Because American global influence has waned so much under Trump, emboldening Chinese and Russian foreign influence. China can afford to pay the US a couple of extra billion USD in tariffs because they stand to can so much more from more powerful foreign policy.
