Why did one Ohio school district decide to arm its teachers?

I think most of the school killings happen in the first minute or two and the shooter does not seem to care if they lose their own lives.
This will encourage the shooters to kill faster.

"Resource officers" are the worst. Its amazing that people are all good with these armed, uniformed losers stalking the school grounds with nothing to do but occasionally respond to a classroom disturbance with outrageous violence but will object to actual teachers who actually deal with the students getting trained and armed.
One would think the coward cowering outside Stoneman Douglas would have been enough to make people realize how useless they are. One would think they heard enough stories of "resource officers" brutalizing students to make people realize how dangerous they are. But no. The topic is guns in America so all you get is partisans with glue on their stupid shoes.
Armed teachers are not the solution to the problem but neither does an ice bath solve the disease. However, sometimes you do need to attack the symptoms in the inter-rim and that is how I see armed teachers. As far as most people see the terms I am neither pro nor anti-gun. I believe in gun control, within reason, which means the citizens have guns, but it is ensured as much as possible they are sane, trained, stable and regularly vetted, but locally and privately not by the fed.

Then they will miss more. They are not going to be shooting faster with consistent accuracy.
There will be a myriad of tiny effects I think resulting in basically no actual change to shooter modus operandi with the exception that they move to buses and bus stops but I don't think that's very likely as a popular plan of the future.
I think its far more likely they will give up the idea altogether, but also there will be those who simply choose a different venue.

They will if they use an assault rifle which have been common and spray away!

But if you have an armed teacher, you have a much higher chance of taking out the shooter, I think it might deter some idiots and make them think twice before picking up a firearm and going on a school rampage.

Obtaining a lethal weapon is actually easier than obtaining a driving permit.
It's very sad that schools have to have guns to protect the children. No where in the developed world does that happen.
The cost of gun homicide is $229 billion.
