He stayed away because he would have gotten his butt kicked!

Putin knows if he leaves Russia when he returns he will be facing an opposition to over throw him. He knows he is losing grip on his power and if he leaves the military will take over.

When Respected Comrade Kim agreed to meet the trump in Singapore, just to be made a fool of, he was forced to spend TWO DAYS on a TRAIN because NO ONE can trust what heinous acts these governments will do. but he did it gladly having been fooled by trump into having HOPE for his People, a reunited country. What motivation might Mr Putin have for risking his life or even his time just to sit around chatting with talking heads with bad breath whose public stances are dictated by perfidious MONEY and are intimidated and, through the power of a unified propaganda arm called the "Western Media', would be driven from and lose their positions if they spoke the truth? THAT, much more likely than any concern for his IMAGE in the Western Media, is WHY Mr Putin will not attend these stage shows of puppets.
