Kenny76May. 18, 2014 - 09:19AM JST I've been to the Mekong Delta region a few years ago. We visited the museums & memorials along the border towns of Chau Doc, Ha Tien, and other I can't recall the name.

Love museums and memorials they always have a treasure trove of photos and information.

Kenny76May. 18, 2014 - 09:19AM JST Many black & white photos displayed the atrocities committed on the polpot regime on border raids are sickening. How could they did such horrible things to many lady Buddhist monks are unspeakable. Some of us could not eat my lunch after ward, and those images are still in my mind.... just horrific stuffs...

Pol Pot and his thugs known as the Khmer Rouge proved to the world how horrible we humans can be to one another. I remember hearing the news of the Vietnam invasion of Cambodia. A few of my uncle who had fought Communist in many parts of the world including Vietnam were actually happy to hear that news.

Too bad that Pol Pot didn't meet the hangman he died of a heart attack or suicide. I just wish that he would have suffered a whole lot more than he did. As with most tyrants Pol Pot was a psychopath.

I just wish that government, all governments would stop aiding and defending dictators and tyrants!

That is correct from 1975 to 1978 the Khmer Rouge attacked Vietnam on a few occasions prior to the 1978 all out Vietnamese invasion and conquest of Cambodia.

Communist never get along if they are right next to each other, one will always want to be the boss.

Le Thi Bao TramMay. 17, 2014 - 12:15PM JST I think Cambodia invaded the southern Vietnam and killed Vietnamese on an islands first which make Hanoi angry! This article will make readers misunderstand that Hanoi sounds like bullying to Cambodia!

The article does not mention about the deep anger in Vietnamese people against its own corrupt government ,spineless to China but violent oppression to its own people.. Also China is not very friendly in Vietnam by building its own villages in Vietnam but forbid entry of Vietnamese people ,hence creating suspicion of " Chinese invasion".

The protest situation right now is not productive for the people of Vietnam. Very productive media-wise for China however and it gets the Chinese people away from thinking of their own issues.

The people of Vietnam need to protest peacefully and shut the whole country down to get their politicians to listen. Don't buy anything Chinese etc.

Indochina and the Balkans are two places where the notion of peace is just wishful thinking. They've been fighting since time immemorial.
