The idea that women somehow deserve roles written for them in a way that they want seems quite childish. If you want roles a certain way, write them. Don't demand that others, I guess this means men, write them for you. Men will write things the way that they want, and women should do the same. Witherspoon sounds like a spoiled brat.
It's interesting that everything that she lists here is in relation to men. Do women cease to exist without the presence of men beside them? I don't get it.
This is just my impression, but it seems that women are doing a lot of complaining these days despite being 51% of the population, a fact that we're never let to forget. If they were all to pull in the same direction, maybe they could finally reach some kind of state where they were satisfied with their position, and above all, could finally stop all the whining.
The fact that they don't, and instead blame everything on men is the most annoying part. If women are indeed so strong, so smart and so supremely wonderful, as they always tell us, why can't they do everyone a favor and write some decent scripts for themselves?

We have to start seeing women as they really are on film.
Well that wouldn't be very entertaining would it.

Just to be clear to the clueless movie stars.
Hollywood: Fantasy, what we WANT to see.
Jerry Springer: Real life. The way things are.
There's a place for everybody!

I love the womenfolk and sympmathize with their plight. However, those that I have married have not reciprocated in kind. I beseech you to advise me, wherein lays the problem?
