The only good thing about the golden globes was Ricky Gervais. Dude killed it!

three cheers for Trent Reznor who picked up one of the awards for doing the score for social network.

Awesome - all of a sudden I want to watch the movie now, if only for the soundtrack!

Loved Ricky's work, as always! Great to see him take a shot at two of the most pathetic hypocrites and buffoons in Hollywood - Cruise and Travolta. At least old Bruce Willis has a sense of humour and praised Gervais' performance.

Ricky Gervais is the only reason I would watch these prima-donna gatherings. Social Networking doesn't look that exciting but topical is good.

Gervais was a jerk from beginning to end. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you ! Total career suicide. Bye-bye, Ricky.

Jeeeez, get a sense of humor people!

Social Network - Good movie. It felt like a two hour episode of "The West Wing" but obviously the subject matter was different. Aaron Sorkin fans will be pleased. I laughed out loud 3 or 4 times.

Golden Globes - Check Ricky Gervais hosting last year vs. this year on youtube.com. If you want to insult members of your audience, it helps to begin with a hearty helping of self-deprecation. He had that last year, and he was a big hit. This year, he did not include it, and looked vindictive and slightly angry.

Yet some people here wouldn't even hear of the Social Network just because they don't like the subject matter. They think just because it's Facebook, it can't be anything good.

Ricky Gervais was hilarious - great to see some of the Hollywood lot get a British style mocking!

Ricky Gervais was once again brilliant as host. Getting sick of the many Social Network commercials on TV but cant wait to see it.

I just watched The Figther (Boot-leg download) last night and it was that good. Hard to believe it was based on true events.

I half-watched the Golden Globes tonight - most everyone receiving awards seemed drunk (not surprising at all) as they rambled on and on thanking everyone while fawning all over themselves. TMI, Natalie Portman! I'm glad Toy Story 3 won - the best in the series. Colin Firth, as always, was such a class act - Congratulations, Mr. Darcy!

As usual, most of the winners have not even made it to Japan yet. Except in boot-leg downloads of course.
