Maybe Sam could be talked into bringing "Xena" to the big screen? I really like spider man. We now have something to look forward to.

and Raimi. who cares anyway? 3 movies was more than enough. Unless they were going to do Carnage as a character it is a total waste of time. So many new superhero movies to look forward too.... Thor! Green Lantern! Captain America! and so many others now that Disney has bought Marvel.

Shame they are not going to make Spidey 4 with Maguire, but great that they are doing Thor, my fav Marvel superhero.

Isn't Raimi working on World of Warcraft movie?

Best news I've heard.

I wish every film sequel stops at 3. By the fourth time, you can feel it's already being milked dry.
Except for Harry Potter, that is.

Ummm... The Marvel Comics Group shareholders approved the merger with Disney on December 31. So who's the dumb idiot?

Creative differences? About a Marvel action hero comic? What, the character didn't have enough emotional range? No Hello Kitty product placement?

Huh? Thor and Captain America belong to Marvel Comics (which now belong to Disney). However, Green Lantern was once a member of the Justice League which belongs to DC Comics, and is NOT a part of Marvel Comics. DC comics by the way, own the rights to notables like Superman, Batman, the Flash, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman.
I would love to see either a movie adaptation of either DC Comics' the Legion of Superheroes or the Brood storyline from the X-men along with the Shi'ar empire and the Starjammers.

“While we were looking forward to doing a fourth one together, the studio and Marvel have a unique opportunity to take the franchise in a new direction, and I know they will do a terrific job.”
Ouch! How many ways can you read that?

I think the Dark Knight raised the bar for all super hero movies in the future and they will probably be produced with a darker, humanistic theme rather than the cartoonist appeal of the earlier Batmans. I did like the saracastic and witty Tony Stark played by Robert Downey Jr. and can't wait to see where they take the next Iron Man. The Tobi Maquire Spiderman was kinda lame. Hopefully Sony will make Spidey more of a badass. It's done wonders for both the Batman and James Bond franchises.
