ANA revamps lounge at Okinawa's Naha Airport

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has renovated its lounge at Okinawa (Naha) Airport. The newly revamped lounge is approximately 2.5 times larger and includes more seating space. The changes are designed to ensure passengers are able to comfortably relax with friends and family while waiting for their flights. Furthermore, the lounge is accessible via a private security checkpoint to ensure direct access for premium passengers.

Renowned designer Kengo Kuma supervised the lounge remodel to ensure it aligned with the "ichigo ichie" (treasure every encounter as if it were once in a lifetime) design concept that is also found in the recently revamped lounges at Chitose, Itami and Fukuoka Airports.

Kuma designed the Okinawa ANA LOUNGE to highlight regional cultural elements, incorporating artwork and craftsmanship from local artisans. The lounge features a wooden wall with a traditional Japanese "Yamato-kabe" design to create a bright, warm and relaxing atmosphere.

"Okinawa has a distinct local culture, and we wanted to ensure the lounge incorporated unique elements from this region," said Hideki Kunugi, Executive Vice President of ANA. "Mr Kuma designed the lounge with an immersive, engaging atmosphere, exemplifying how at ANA we want to make sure every moment of the travel experience is as comfortable and convenient as possible. ANA will continue looking for ways to meet our passenger needs and set the standard for customer service."
