Interior design firm Strickland, led by Yohei Akao, created the vision for the hotel’s interior. Strickland uses Ginza’s storied past and the hotel’s history as the renowned Asahi Shimbun publishing company as inspiration for the design of Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo. The artwork and design of the guestrooms, entrance, and dining area are creative interpretations of the hotel’s roots with the publishing industry and the city’s continuously transforming relationship with tradition and innovation. The 164 guestooms and suites offer modern design with ultimate comfort in mind. The artwork that adorns the hotel illustrate the four defining pillars of Ginza—landscape, fashion, entertainment, and media. There are five room types including three for suites, each designed to fit the needs of millenial-minded travelers.

Where does this sit in the Hyatt hierarchy?  Above Grand?  Below Park?  And vs Andaz, their "boutique" brand?

They key part of the marketing here is location - busy downtown areas - hence the name Centric. From the interiors, Centric seems to be competing with Conrad and perhaps cannibalizing some customers from Andaz, which is slightly more upscale. Grand Hyatts are usually larger, and Park Hyatt a bit more old-fashioned by comparison.
