ANA and Vietnam Airlines strengthen partnership

ANA has announced the expansion of its code share agreement with Vietnam Airlines, providing additional benefits to its ANA Mileage Club members.

Since the second half of 2016, ANA has been cooperating with Vietnam Airlines on codeshare flights and mileage programs, and has introduced Vietnam Airlines' cabin attendants as in-flight service assistants on ANA flights. The newest expansion forms part of the strategy of the commercial and capital partnership agreement between the two companies.

Now, code share flights from Hanoi to Siem Reap in Cambodia and from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City have been added, allowing ANA Mileage Club members to accrue miles on all Vietnam Airlines operated flights on those routes.

In addition, since Sept 1, mileage accrual was expanded to all flights operated by Vietnam Airlines on the code share routes. Previously, mileage accrual was only possible on Vietnam Airlines flights with an ANA flight number.

To celebrate the first anniversary of the code share and frequent flyer partnership, the airlines introduced a “Bonus Miles Campaign” between October 1 and December 31 for Business Class passengers traveling on ANA and Vietnam Airlines international flights between Japan and Vietnam*. In addition, ANA Mileage Club members can earn double miles during the campaign period, on all Vietnam Airlines operated flights on the codeshare routes.

*Registration for the “Bonus Miles” campaign is necessary when boarding ANA operated flights, and is possible during the entire campaign period.
