Hopefully a tad better than current dark and dank Capital Airport with the bad customer service and decrepit infrastructure.

The only airport I decided to never visit again was old Beijing airport. I try not to travel with layover in Beijing because of the flight delays. I hope the new one will be better.

Flight delays will not change. Chinese airspace as a whole is controlled by the military - THAT is the reason why so many flights are delayed in China as a whole. Less than 30% of airspace is available to commercial flights - That is compared to 80% over the USA.

Interesting design concept, with a single terminal you have a single point of failure when things go wrong, as they do with all human endeavours.
