Boingo Wireless has signed agreements to manage and operate Wi-Fi services at eight airports in Japan and Germany, including one of the world's most highly trafficked airports, Tokyo International Airport at Haneda.
The airports collectively serve more than 160 million passengers annually, and include:
Airports in Japan:
- Haneda Airport (Tokyo International Airport) (HND)
- Narita International Airport, Tokyo (NRT)
- New Chitose Airport, Sapporo (CTS)
- Fukuoka Airport (FUK)
- Chubu Airport, Nagoya (NGO)
Airports in Germany:
- Berlin-Tegel Airport (TXL)
- Nuremberg Airport (NUE)
- Stuttgart Airport (STR)
Boingo will be the only international Wi-Fi service provider at the airports when services launch in spring 2013.
Boingo services at these airports will also be available to Boingo's roaming and platform service partners, which wholesale access from Boingo and provide self-branded Wi-Fi to their customers. These roaming partners include Skype, Orange France, LGU + and Verizon.

Haneda and Narita already have free wi-fi access.
Oh, so something that was free, now you have to pay for it? That sucks. They won't be getting any money from me.
