Cant imagine why anyone would want to be stuck in a cruise with substandard food and substandard entertainment

Took a one-week cruise to Alaska earlier this month. All the passengers and crew were fully vaccinated, all passengers had to have a negative covid test within three days of boarding, and since vaccines here in the states are not yet approved for the under 12s, none of them were aboard. The ship is built to carry about 2100 passengers, but there were fewer than 1500 aboard. The crew were extremely welcoming.

Other than the weather starting to turn cold and rainy, it was a great trip. I do not know if there were any breakthrough cases of covid among those aboard, although the news reports are that in some places in Alaska the ICUs are full.
